Alright, so today I learned something new (and kind of annoying) about Disney Infinity and what you need to play two player online co-op in the story missions (called "playsets"). There are special figures that unlock the playsets.
I got two portals and two copies of DI 2.0 today, and then realized I needed these special figures to actually unlock the playsets, two of them actually, one for each online co-op player. Well I had, by good luck, bought two Avengers figures already, so I got two Avengers playset unlock figures. Then, with the buy-2-get-3-free sale (portals count), I got a playset unlock fig for the Guardians of the Galaxy playset. See pic. below:
Those clear figures, that are hard to see, are the playset unlock figs. If you look at a portal, it has a special spot just for the playset unlock fig, and two spots for action figs. Of course, all this doesn't matter much if you just want to play in the toybox - no playset unlock fig needed there, But I like story modes and, especially, co-op story modes.
I wanted to spend $20 today but it ended up at $40 because of those darn level unlock figs. Well, now at least, I know what to get next time: 2 playset unlock figs and 2 action figs for that playset.
There are three playsets in Disney 2.0: Avengers, Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy. I have Avengers now, so I'll work on Guardians next. Hopefully, this weekend, Mark and I can give Avengers a spin.
