Legend of Legacy, Buying New Maps and Dying BaDly

I had some St burning a hole in my tunic so I bought The Roaring Valley and Boiling Sea maps.

The Roaring Valley has a large flying bird that you need to stay away from until you have the chops to kick his ass. The only thing visible from the ground is his shadow and if it crosses your path you get pulled into battle.

The good news is that you can run away and wind up at the entrance which is what I have been doing every time I screw up and cross the shadow.

Sadly I was 89% finished mapping the first area and ran in to some regular enemies who party wiped me. They kept stunning my guy with the singing shard and then Wingflapped me to death. Wingflap frikkin' hurts.

Then I tried The Boiling Sea and I got party wiped on my first encounter. So it's back to grinding in safe places like The Hidden Forest at least until I build up some killer moves.

In a way it's kind of like a Etrian Odyssey game mixed with a bit of Bravely Default (artwork wise). Not much of a story and nothing in the way of hand holding.

My quest to figure it all out continues.

mmmmm, forbidden apple.

Ah, the old grind away in an old area to prepare to not do as terribly in the new one strategy. Usually works to good effect.
