Mark and I finally got to play some co-op in this game today using the Power Discs. We played through the rest of the tower defense style levels in the Assault on Asgard disc, and got through about half of the action rpg levels in Escape from the Kyln. We both tried to use the "event" power discs that give you an extra special attack, but the game doesn't let you use them in these story levels, just the survival mode that's on both discs. That's ok though because the survival mode is pretty cool on both discs. You play a large number of increasingly more difficult levels for each. We got to about wave 17 on the Assault on Asgard survival mode, and tomorrow, we'll tackle the 50 wave Escape from the Kyln survival mode. That one will likely take several hours to beat.

Anyway, the special attacks the power discs give you are pretty cool. I had a Jungle Book themed one that created a circle of trees around me where monkeys threw coconuts and bananas at anyone inside the circle. I think I'm begining to want these discs to check out all they can do. Oh, Grabthar help me.

Also, I bought some more figures today. I was looking for Skylanders but the Gamestop I went to had just got in a bunch more Disney infinity characters, even the Spider-Man ones. So I couldn't resist and got myself a Green Goblin and Spider-Man. See pic:

I put both to work right away. Spider-Man has some cool web special attacks and Green Goblin throws a lot of green bombs. I'm kind of disappointed he doesn't fly on his ride like he does in the comics. He's more of a melee fighter here.

Then I got three Skylanders from my core list. Here's the pic:

I can't wait to see these things in action on my TV.

I was kinda luke warm on the design of the D.I. figures at first, but I'm beginning to really like them now. They have the stamp of the specific game engine they were designed in.

I like how both sets have different styles for their figures but each but those styles work for their games. I must have missed it if you covered it (my bad) but is the Spider-Man figure hard to find?

Spider-Man is hard to find in my area. All the Spider-Man playet figures were. Just last week one of my Gamestops got a bunch of them in all at once though. That's when I got Spider-Man, Nova, and Green Goblin. I saw an Iron Fist there too, but today it was gone.
