You almost sold me on the Lone Ranger set until the part about the flying bird mission/challenge. I forogt about Toy Story being part of the original run. That's another set I never picked up.

I got bored today waiting for a doctor's appointment today, so I went to Gamestop and looked at figures. I know, I shouldn't do it, but I did. Luckily I didn't find what I wanted, but I did see this D.I. power disc album in the clearance bin for $5, so I got that. Here's a pic:
I figured I'd put all my discs in there from 1.0 and 2.0, but when I opened it, I noticed it was custom designed for the first series of 20 discs. I can still put in any discs in there, they're all the same size, but I'm kinda of tempted to just put my 1.0 discs in there now. Whatevs, on to what I played today.
I played the entirety of the Lone Ranger playset in Disney Infinity 1.0. I played it to near 100% completion. I did all the quests, collected every collectible and did almost every challenge at the hardest level. I couldn't get the hard difficulty on four of the five flying challenges. More on that after a pic of my figure Tonto after he got the last collectible to unlock his ability to turn into a crow and fly.
That's right. I'm a werecrow now. CAH CAW!
This playset was pretty fun. Yes the missions are darn simple, but sometimes I like simple. Plus it was a pleasant western setting with a train and horse riding. The only difficulty I came across was flying as a crow, a skill only Tonto has. The crow flys pretty realistically, but is very tricky to maneuver through a field of orbs you have to pop for a challenge mission. Flap at the wrong time and you miss an orb and have to turn around, and when you are on hardest difficulty, you can't miss one orb. It infuriated me because I wanted this playset to be the one I did everything perfectly. I tried over and over and finally got one of the challenges done on hard, but the rest were just too frustrating. I got those on medium difficulty, and I had to settle for that. But after all that, I still should've gotten the two achievements for doing all the challenges in a playset at the first two difficulties of easy and medium. But no. The last challenge I had to do as Lone Ranger, and so I borrowed Mark's figure and did it to the max, but the achievements didn't unlock. I figure it was due to that fact that the figure was labeled a "guest" and not "owned" by me. I didn't want to own it because that would've erased all Mark's level progression for that figure. So to do these achievements, it seems you need to own all the figures in a playset. This one would be the cheapest with only two figures, but I think I'll get the Davy Jones figure and do these challenge achievements on the Pirates playset since I've already done all but one on the hardest difficulty there and I already have the other two figures.
Then I started the Toy Story playset with Buzz Lightyear and played a hour or so of that. It's really called Toy Story in Space and you are on an alien planet surrounded by aliens and are immediately given tons of tasks to do. Luckily I found the training missions where you blast robots because I was getting a little frustrated carrying aliens around so they could take pictures, or taking them to the hospital to get fixed, or the costume shop for a makeover. I went on a brief rampage with the laser gun, but no one got hurt, they just laughed, except for the robots. They burst into glorious sparking bits.
I ended the night on a high note but realized that I need to finish these baby games and get back to some deadly target practice. A friend of mine at work was showing me his Halo 5 multiplayer highlights, and I got all tingly and my trigger fiinger twitched.
