The National Video Game Museum in Frisco, Texas just opened, and Cary here at Pixbit did two articles on it with pictures galore of all the interactive exhibits, celebrities, and cosplayers. Check it out on Gamerdad.com here (http://www.gamerdad.com/blog/2016/04/07/the-national-videogame-museum-opens-in-frisco-tx-part-1/ ). There are two parts so click the link there for that as well. You'll be glad you did. The museum has an arcade, great murals and displays, and video game memoribilia of every type. I don't know how they got all that stuff in there. The place must be huge! Also, if you go, Cary might be working there.

I have considered that the museum is very close to Gearbox Software's offices. I wonder if you can visit that too? Life sized statues of Borderlands characters? Oh yes!

I might try to go and take a few people, especially since its an hour away from me. Going by myself is out of the question.

Ya gotta come!  I'll be there most of the time it's open this weekend.

Thanks for reading.  I'll post links to the articles on my next review blog as well.

You know, there's only ONE thing I don't like about the museum (so far).  Right near the 80's bedroom display, they have a huge speaker playing 80s music nonstop.  Normally that would be a good thing, as I like 80s music (guilty pleasure).  But they play the "Mickey" song WAY too much on it (You know, "Oh Mickey, You're so Fine, blah, blah, blah).  Man I hate that song.  Even as a little kid I hated it.  And I get to hear it all weekend!  Yay for me! :)

That Mickey song is definitely annoying after a few plays. I can't imagine having to listen to it all day. There's plenty of other fine 80s songs they could choose that wouldn't be as annoying. Maybe you could exert some influence there.

Well, they have this big ol' speaker, and it has a slot to put an iPod or other music player on it.  So they have a playlist of a bunch of 80's songs on shuffle.  I guess last time, the Mickey song played a lot out of randomness, because this weekend I've only heard it once.  This is only the second weekend the museum's been open, so I'm still learning things every time I go.

That one picture with the paneled room and console TV is what my growing up gaming looked like. Wow awesome place!

That's neat. There was a 70s living room and a 80's kid's room. I don't remember having any posters on my wall or having a TV in my room like that 80's room. I had a lot of stereo equipment instead.

Oh that was our Living-room. I had a 10in B/W TV in my Bedroom. Lol.

If I still lived in Oklahoma, I'd have been here on opening day. Next time I'm out in that neck of the woods to visit my family, I will take a day trip to Dallas to visit the museum.

I've never been to Texas. I'd love to see Dallas and then go over to Frisco for the museum sometime.

That looks like a really cool museum. I remember when that Pokemon N64 was $50 at a Toys R Us in San Diego, and I debated on buying it. Funny story a couple of friends from out of town where there too, and one of them bought a Sega Saturn and one of the Nights games with the circle controller for $100.

I saw that Pokemon N64 too at a flea market or Gamestop for cheap way back when. I almost bought it.

I make up to $90 an hour working from my home. My story is that I quit working at Walmart to work online and with a little effort I easily bring in around $40h to $86h%u2026 Someone was good to me by sharing this link with me, so now i am hoping i could help someone else out there by sharing this link... Try it, you won't regret it!......
