I was so worried about rumors of online shutdown for Disney Infinity that I didn't play my backlog game today - today being Monday - so that I could try and get the online required achievements. There were only two. One was for knocking out another player, so Mark and I jumped in a predesigned arena map and killed each other once each for the achievement. The other was for playing 10 matches in any game in Flynn's Arcade. I didn't get that one because all the games there require four online players and there were no randoms to be found. I may try one more time on a Saturday or Sunday next week just to see if there are more players those days, but I have a feeling I'm just not going to get that one - and it'll be the last one I need. As it stands now, I have all but two achievements left: the one I just mentioned and the one for getting 75 Feats. Feats are like achievements just within Disney Infinity. I'm not sure how many I have yet but after playing almost three full playsets and all the Hub tutorials, I should be close.
I finished the Force Awakens playset and two thirds of the Rise Against the Empire playset - I have just the events of Return of the Jedi to do. These are both excellent. I found myself really attentive to the cutscenes. They streamlined the original stories from the movies, added some dialog, and dropped some locations like Dagoba. I like what they did though. The cutscenes are really well presented, ie. good editting, and the flow of the story and dialog is excellent. As for the play areas, running around on Tauntauns, doing the leg wrap-up on the AT-ATs with the snow speeder, flying over the surface of the Deathstar in a X-Wing, throwing Jawas in a Sarlac pit, and dodging Exogorths popping out of asteroids was all very fun and well executed. I can't believe all this is just not going to continue. This is certainly the best Disney Infinity so far.
I also spent some time in the Toy Box getting achievements for growing food and feeding my sidekicks. I used Hulkbuster and it was funny thinking of him using all his skills just to farm. I'm not sure what to use my sidekicks for now other than farming for vegetables that boost your sidekicks' skills (I have one sidekick for fighting and the rest farmers), but maybe they'll come in handy for the Toy Box Takeover expansion game, when I get to that.
And that's all folks. PIxl ya later.
