Not much to mention so far this weekend of mine.
Played some Halo Master Chief Collection with Mark. We got through most of Halo 2, the remastered version. It's interesting how they added Spartan Locke to a cutscene to make the Halo 2 game like a flashback. I'm not sure Halo deserves a flashback; seems too artsy to me to be in a Halo game, but whatevs. Halo 2 looks pretty great remastered. I noticed the music was upgraded as well; sounds almost like they rerecorded it all, but probably just remixed differently.
We were going to play a lot more Master Chief Collection but I wanted to experiment with enchantment in Minecraft. There's no short playing of Minecraft; at least, not when Mark and I play it together. I discovered that you can enchant books and then apply their abilities to items on the anvil, thus saving some material. But it turns out it's not as good as just enchanting the items directly on the enchantment table and hoping for a good result. It gets you more added abilites then through books. Oh well, I thought I was on to something there.
After working really hard to get to the point of being able to enchant items, we both decided that maybe using creative mode to set the game up with all the stuff that usually takes hours to accumilate, and then playing, might be a better way to go. Yes it's fun to work up from scratch, but it takes a long darn time to do it, and I'd like to shoot a fire arrow or two before this weekend's out. So on Monday we'll do some prep work before we actually play it - should be wunderbar.
auf wiedersehen.
