Thought I was going to play Gears of War Ultimate Edition today, but Minecraft sunk it's teeth into me again, leaving me with a kind of sickness.
Mark and I got a little crazy in creative mode and lit forests fires, dropped lava flows over mountains, and blew up just about everything else with TNT. We saved screenshots and video clips galore. I wish I share one or two of them here but I need to figure out how to grab media from Twitter, I guess. Anyone on my friend's list probably got bombarded with them though.
I feel like Minecraft has poisoned my opinion of other games. I now crave the open endedness of Minecraft over the directed experiences of most other games. I just want a big world and a bunch of tools and be left to do whatever. So I may look into No Man's Sky and Dragon Quest Builders when they come out.
I'm not sure what I'll play next weekend or during the week. I've been working on Disruptor on PS1, and I just downloaded the demo for Pocket Card Jockey, so I guess I'll continue with those. For some reason, on my own, I lose the Minecraft sickness and dig everything again. That social aspect of some games makes all the difference it seems.
