Final Skylanders Binge?

I have just about all I can find on sale out here in the wild for Superchargers stuff now. There's only one figure left and I'd like to pick up a second copy of the game for my friend Mark so we can do the co-op/multiplayer races. I already have extra portals from my other starter packs and the loose game is only $5. So I may make one more run tomorrow. Anyway, here's the last big haul shown below:

               supercharge

Back Row: Racing Action Packs Sea and Sky.

Left Side Foreground, Back to Front: Trigger Happy, Fryno Hog Wild

Middle Foreground: Scratch

Right Foreground, Back to Front: Wildfire, Hammer Slam Bowser.

I got the action packs for half off the high price of $35 each at Toys"R"Us. I still need the apparently most popular Land Racing Pack. They must've had twenty each of the Sky and Sea Packs. I guess they weren't so popular. What's wrong with racing underwater or in the sky? Sounds awesome to me.

Tigger Happy I already have and got by accident. There are a lot of variants of Trigger Happy and I thought this was one of them. I should've got the Zero Suit Samus amiibo instead.

Fryno Hog Wild is a variant of Fryno and looks cool on a motorcycle. I needed more to make the 5-for-2 sale so this fit the bill.

Scratch is a core Skylander that came out with Swap Force. I've been looking for that one a long time. The Gamestop I went to said they had just gotten in 500 Skylanders from somebody. I'll have to search that store's inventory online in a week or so when they have them all logged in. I still need a handful of Skylanders for the other games.

Wildfire is a hard to find Trap Team figure I didn't have. The Trap Team characters are really cool because they are bigger like some of the Giants figures. I use them as display pieces on my new game shelving units.

And now I have Bowser and all the Nintendo Skylanders. They only work on Nintendo systems so I'll just display them for now. We'll see if the games are fun enough to replay on Wii or Wii-U. I've heard the handheld versions, other than Spyro's Adventure for 3DS, aren't very good. Which reminds me, I'd like to have the Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack for 3DS.

So that's nearly it for my Skylanders binge. Just a piece or two more so that I'm ready to play it with my friend Mark.

I've never used my Link amiibo.  He's sitting on my bookshelf still in the packaging.

I'm not sure even how to use them. I got them mostly for look. If I figure out an in-game use for them, that's a bonus.

Well, you know there's going to be another new Skylanders game out in a couple of months, so never say "final." :)

Every Gamestop employee has tried to get me to preorder it. I really can't afford to be a day-one buyer of that, but I'll read about it and make a list for when it goes on sale for sure.

That's interesting that Nintendo has their own exclusive Skylanders, but it also makes sense because they want to protect their properties. I'm waiting for another big sale on Lego Dimensions to pick up the couple of packs I want from this run before any new ones start popping up.

That reminds me that I want to see those Nintendo characters in action, so I'll need the Wii-U version which I think I can get for $10 plus the portal, which is usually $2. Another reason for me to get a Wii-U. Yes!

The Lego Dimensions were $30 off at Toys"R"Us but that's still $60 for the XBO version. I guess I'll wait even though that game is very high on my backlog list. That game is going to be really hard for me to get into at those prices and no used versions.
