Trying to ease my mind again today as I wait for a call to work. It was play-food and tv-games on the XBO. The play-food was a chicken parm grinder, fries, and a diet Dr. Pepper. And the XBO tv-games were Defense Grid 2 and Minecraft, just like yesterday. 

Mark and I played Defense Grid 2 co-op. We played the online mode that spits up the grid between the players. You can only build on your own color's squares. The resources are independent of each other unlike the other co-op mode where you both draw from the same pool. I was hoping the gold medals on these co-op levels would count towards the achievement but they aren't shown on the menu screen after a playthrough, so I think not. Still, it turned out to be a lot more fun than I thought. It became less about co-op and more about who could score the most points quickest. But realizing that those gold medals were likely not counting (although the kills surely were. I'm at 80% of the 50K kills achievement) made us stop after four or five maps. 

Then it was back to Minecraft. Mark created a new world and we started from scratch again in survival mode. We found just enough diamond for swords and pickaxes, battled it out in The Nether, found the Stronghold and took all its library books, and enchanted items until we got the Loot ability on our swords and pickaxes.

In the end though, we cheated a bit. Once we finally enchanted our first swords and pickaxes legitimately, there was precious little time left in the day, so Mark switched the world to creative mode and loaded us up with diamonds and XP potions. Then, back in survival mode, we were able to enchant many swords and pickaxes until we got that cherished Loot ability on them. That stupid enchantment table adds random effects and we were not looking forward to a lot more mining to find enough diamond to make the items to enchant. So in the last minutes of the day, it was fun to rip through a half dozen items and finally get the Loot boost on our gear.

Tomorrow, provided I don't get the call to work, we'll switch back to survival mode and go for Wither Skulls, or maybe we'll play something else. I'm kind of thinking something else right now, but who knows. 

And that's another day on my week of rest and relaxation before I really get worried about work and what to do about it.
