Last week I purchased a $19 turntable preamp so that I can use my Thorens 'table with my tiny Topping integrated amp.

I wound up gettting it and the phone case I ordered for my son's LG G4 for free because they screwed up my order and it was over a week before it arrived.

So this week I ordered a FiiO D3 Digital to Analog converter. I'm going to use this to convert my TV's audio so I'm not at the mercy of the miserable analog sound that comes from the TV's headphone jack. I currently have a headphone to RCA converter plugged into the jack and then an rca red/white cable from the converter to my TP22, Not optimum.

The only downside is that now my TV volume control does nothing and I have to get up to adjust the volume using the TP22's volume control. First world problems, LOL

To add a little gaming tech in here I also picked up a usb to ethernet dongle for my Wii U. The Wireless in that sucker is flakey as hell and it does not recognize my 5G wireless, only the 2.4.

This is the solution:

More on these new toys once they are hooked up.

I was thinking of getting an integrated amp instead of using the "home theatre" receiver I am now, and I will eventually, but I did rearrange my room so my stereo field is much wider, like twice as wide, with a speaker on each end of the room, and it sounds SO much gooder (Tongue Out) now.  I'd like to upgrade to more clarity, but the problem with getting an intergrated amplified is I enjoy listening to bluray operas in surround sound too as well as stereo vinyl.  So.....

That's some sweet sweet hardware. I haven't bought any music tech in a long while. Makes me nostalgic for my audiofile days. Sigh.

I like the quality of Fiio products. The only thing I had to replace for my headphone amp on my iPod was the battery. The dang thing is still running. At some point I'd like to tryout their portable music player.
