I realized last night that I was actually missing Ronan to complete my Disney Infinity Guardians of the Galaxy figure collection. Then this morning, I thought of how I had played all the Disney Infinity games on my Xbox 360, and maybe I should look into what I would need to play them on Xbox One. The rest of the day became a shopping spree. The result is shown below.
First off, I found out Disney Infinity 1.0 didn't come out on Xbox One. So that left 2.0 and 3.0. Then I found out I needed a Xbox One portal because the Xbox 360 one I have isn't compatible. So I got the Toy Box Starter Pack (which is D.I. 2.0) to get the portal, and then I got the loose 3.0 game. The starter pack was marked down to $15 (I got the Merida figure I didn't have too) and 3.0 was $8.
Then I went to Toys R Us to see what deals they had going. Turns out they had a lot of good deals. I got Ronin, Nemo, and Donald Duck for $6 each. Then I got the Finding Dory and Marvel Battlegrounds play sets for $20 and $17 respectively on two different sales.
Then I thought that maybe I should have certain of the Star Wars figures I didn't have to kind of celebrate the coming of the Rogue One movie. I didn't have Chewbacca because I let Mark have that one, and who can do without ol' Chewy? With the buy-2-get-3-free sale at Gamestop, I stocked up on various Clone Wars, Rebels, and original series figures too. Then I also picked up Hawkeye and The Hulk (another figure I gave to Mark). All these averaged out at $5 each.
So I blew about $120. Naughty me. I spent the rest of the day beating myself up over it, feeling guilty, and coming up with new rules of engagement for buying video game related stuff.
I just love doing this from time to time. I'm not crazy. Am I?
Bye there.
