Diablo III and Rogue One

I did two things today: played a heap ton of Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition, and watched Star Wars: Rogue One for the second time.

Diablo III: U.E.E.:

I did all the bounties in Adventure Mode with my Witch Doctor, upgraded all my artisans, enchanted all my items, and hit level 70 (those last three for achievements). Then I started a Crusader on Hardcore. After a while of that, I got to thinking about the Dream Team achievement (get all character types to level 70) and had an inspiration. Mark was playing adventure mode with his level 70, 40 paragon Warrior on Torment difficulty, so I created a Demon Hunter and just jumped into his game to see what would happen. After five minutes, I was level 8, after an hour and a half, I was level 42 with over a million in gold. Fabulous! Power leveling in Diablo is a thing. This achievement won't be so hard after all. Only problem was, for most of the those levels, I had to stay close to Mark's Warrior and try not to get killed. Only at about level 40 was I starting to do any real damage and hold my own. Man was it fun though. Adventure Mode generates many more enemies on screen than in the campaign, so battles get seriously crazy.

Star Wars: Rogue One:

Second time around was as good as the first. Finally a Star Wars movie with all the right stuff in it including: good acting and a good script. It is possible I may see it a third time after Xmas if my sister is around and wants to see it.

I'm looking forward to the Assassin's Creed movie this coming weekend. I'll probably see it Xmas eve after a short work day. Should be fun.

Bye.

damn you've seen it twice already?  I'll probably see it again next week with my other brother.

I'm hoping I may see it with my sister next week, but I'm not sure. I'll be fine with my two viewings though. Assassin's Creed this weekend!

I saw Rogue One and really liked it!  Lots of fun space action and a neat connection to the first (fourth?) movie.

I hope they don't overdo this side story thing TOO much, though.  Only things I didn't like about the movie was some of the CG was a little weird (still good, though), and I didn't like any of the characters as much.

Hey wanna hear a cool story?  Well I think it's cool.  So i just got a PS4 recently and one of the main games I wanted for it was Pac-Man Championship Edition 2.  I didn't have enough funds in my account for it, though.  I know I could use a credit card, but I don't like to use my credit card for consoles.  I just get the point cards.  Well yesterday I turned on my PS4 and got a message from Sony saying, "here's ten bucks!"  So I was able to get it then!  Yay!  I wish Nintendo would do stuff like that!

Yea, none of the characters are going to stay with me, I think. Maybe the robot. This was clearly just a one-off, not a series. I'm wondering if they are doing a Lego game based on it like Force Awakens? I hope they don't do a lot of CG characters. I feel weird watching people who aren't around any more in the flesh, or who are much older.

Good on Sony. I'd check mine, but I think you probably got that for getting a new one this holiday.

I don't think they're doing a LEGO Rogue One game, but I think they added some DLC for the LEGO Force Awakens game.

I just hope they don't go too overboard wth side story movies.  Unless they want to do one about the Ewoks. :)

My friend and I were just talking about a Han Solo spin off movie. I'd go for that.

I skipped the part about Rogue One because I haven't seen it yet and just in case there might be a slight spoiler.

I do like when you upgrade weapons before tackling a harder difficulty because it makes it just a little more managable.

I try to avoid spoilers but it's hard.

The equipment is crucial in this game. Sometimes an item gives you a real boost to the very specific ability you are using. I get a little annoyed starring at item stats after a while. I got a similar feeling from Borderlands too. So many weapons, and so many details to look over every time you pick one up.

I really liked the action and plot of Rogue One, but some of the characters fell flat for me. Definitely felt more connected to the Force Awakens characters, though the plot in that one was too derivative of A New Hope.

Hopefully, the next one will satisfy me on both plot and character fronts.

I did really like the blind guy and his friend, as well as the robot. The main characters had tragic backstories, but they were acted so cold I just couldn't connect with them. I'd still like to see it again, if not just for the action-packed third act.

I kind of agree. I don't think any of the new characters were very memorable. Same with Force Awakens. Poe Dameron? Who was that guy again?

I don't remember names tbh. I know there were a lot of Easter eggs for big Star Wars fans, but as a casual admirer I likely didn't catch most of them.

I loved the new characters in Force Awakens though.

I got to know them a bit more because of the Disney Infinity 3.0 figures. Still wondering why they didn't do the droids. They did everyone else.
