Just put your Imaginator crystal on the stand. Making characters is easy to do.
I found Barbella at Wal-Mart but didn't buy it. I thought that was a cool looking Skylander, though. Still haven't seen the Crash Bandicoot ones.

I didn't blog on Wednesday because I got a stomach virus. I was fine the next morning but that didn't get in the way of gaming both Wed and Thurs. Here's the breakdown:
Diablo III:
I got the 100 Treasure Goblin kills achievement. Turns out I didn't need 55 more, but something much less. The achievement progress bar must not of updated; and it seems that in co-op, both players get credit for the kill no matter who finishes the job. Then I started a Hardcore run. I'm doing it an Act at a time. Finished Act II today with Mark. He surprised me by joining in. We're playing on Normal difficulty so the only danger is getting over confident and not watching your health bar. Also, I've decided that the 500 bounties achievement isn't all that difficulty and not so tedious. Apparently, the bounties change frequently and you can do them pretty quickly. So that'll be my next challenge.
Star Wars Battlefront:
This game's graphics are stunning. I'm constantly amazed at the realistic detail of the landscape. Even the clouds move, even if they don't exactly shift subtlely like real clouds. I've been finding the gameplay somewhat shallow and boring though. I enjoyed playing survival mode with Mark but I liked the Skirmish battles best. They're basically capture point matches but over a large battlefield with other things going on. It reminds me of Titanfall in that way. I was able to play as Boba Fett and shoot my wrist rockets and flame thrower. Cool! Flying missions are fine but I don't like the kind of circling you end up doing in battles between fighters. I mostly liked the AT AT takedown missions with the tow cable. Those worked great, just like Rogue Squadron. I so wish there was a full campaign for this.
Skylanders Imaginators:
I've played about nine hours of this game. I've been using the sensei characters I have and there's been no explanation of how to create your own character. Maybe I should just put the crystal piece on the portal and see what comes up, but I kind of want to wait until there's some sort of presentation of it in the story. There's plenty of references to it, the whole game is infused with the create-your-own character idea and you gain loads of items to build one, just no actual "here's what you do" moment. Maybe it comes later in the story, or maybe I'm just playing it all wrong. Anyway, it is a fun, light hearted romp of fighting, platforming and other mini games. They changed the Skystones "card" game to something much less like Magic the Gathering. I don't enjoy it as much but it's ok. There is something weird about the animation in the game. Maybe it's because I just watched the TV show which has great animation, but the mouth movement isn't quite perfect or detailed enough and the graphics in general seem a notch down from the TV show. But, I guess it's unfair to compair the two. The environments still look fantastic. I can't help thinking of Ratchet & Clank every time I bash a barrel for loot. I tried to play this on Expert difficulty but got my butt handed to me on the first boss fight. Even on the Normal setting I had to really pay attention, but it seems the right spot for the moment.
That's a few days. I got Friday to enjoy and then back to work on Saturday, but then my normal Sun/Mon weekend after that. So it'll still feel like vaca until Tuesday next week.
Battlefront is such a pretty game but yeah without a Single Player or something close to it like the ones on Destiny or The Division the game is lacking. Shame really especially with how good it looks. I'm debating on buying the DLC but since I don't play it often I might wait for a sale.
