Done with Borderlands, On with Borderlands 2

I finally had enough of Borderlands 1 this weekend. I got the achievement for the 6 midgets in the General Knoxx DLC and the one for getting to level 61, but I'm leaving five achievements unfinished. Three are related to collecting random items dropped from Claptraps in the Claptrap's Robot Revolution DLC. Mark and I mined for that stuff by playing the entire DLC several times and busting up just hundreds of Claptraps; but I swear, I got maybe a half dozen more items, that's all.

Two others are related to the General Knoxx DLC: one for completing all the quests in the DLC and another for beating Crawmerax, the giant crab. As you can see, the two are connected - can't get the one without the other. Mark and I approached Crawmerax in various configurations of skill levels to see what Crawmerax's level would be. It seems Crawmerax is a minimun level 64 and always four levels higher than the host's level if the host is 61 or more. I think if I host at level 61 (as my highest level character is now) and Mark comes in at some level higher than 65 (as Crawmerax would be in that situation), we might be able to beat it. Mark is now level 64, so I'll have to wait until he levels up to at least 66. He said he'd try and do that during the week, so maybe next weekend we can take a crack at it again.

Following all that, we both booted up The Handsome Collection and started Borderlands 2 for the last half hour of the night. The graphics do look spiffier. After only a half hour, I'm already excited to run through it again. So much for my other plan to split the day between my Borderlands complete run and my play-of-games-somehow-vaguely-related-to-1967 plan. At least I installed Lego Batman.

So onward with Borderlands 2 tomorrow. I'm going to try and streamline my play of it to make it less complicated. In B1 there was the ultimate boss in Crawmerax, so I'm thinking there's something like that in B2 that I can kind of use as a goal for my character. I'm sticking with the Soldier class again. The first time I played these games, I was all about the sniper class. I think turrets and assault rifles are the thing for me now.

That's a wrap. See you in 24.

Which LEGO Batman? I bought 3 on sale, and so far I just want to play as Flash more.

The first one which is backwards compatible on XBO. I have it in a two pack with Pure, an ATV racing game I've always wanted to play. The demo was really good, but as of yet, I haven't touched it. So goes life.

I will get back to the Handsome Collection sometime this year. I imported my Vita save to the B2, but I've actually started the Pre-sequel first before jumping back into the craziness of B2. Have fun with Lego Batman, I did a speed run through it I think last summer on the 360.

I'm not going to get away from playing a lot of B2 this month. I'm thinking of limiting my time with it every time I play so I can try some other stuff I have in mind. Unfortuneatly for Lego Batman, I'm done with January and my 1967 related stuff. I'll find a way to work it back in sometime.
