Almost Finished Halo 2

Mark and I played about 2/3rds of it today on XBO via Master Chief Collection. It is clearly longer than Halo C.E.. We had some connection issues with it here and there. Mark eventually quit in frustration. I kept going. I found some new terminals and got a few achievements for various gunplay. I'd say this game might be Bungie's biggest effort as far as story goes. It seems the most epic of the series with long elaborate cut scenes and very dramatic dialog. I think, talk of a movie started about this time and I can see why.

I played with the same skulls that I had on for Halo C.E.: infinite ammo, gruntie birthday party, grunt plasma explosions (I eventually turned that one off because I kept getting killed by it), more rare random dialog, and melee attacks drop grenades. I didn't go all out on grenades this time; although, Mark certainly did. I was more about the dual weilding which was a big deal feature when the game came out (can't dual weild rocket launchers, I just realized). Eventually I stopped that too, though, and just played normally. The other new thing with this Halo game was light swords. That was pretty fun but I switched back to projectile weapons after the novelty wore off. I'd just rather have a shotgun for close quarters fighting even while playing as the Arbiter; oh yea, that was another new feature. Even with infinite ammo, the swords wear out as do the Sentinel Beam weapons. I say "bah!", to having to switch weapons so often because of lack of ammo. It's the 26th century after all.

Song: "In the year 2525, If man is still alive/ If woman can survive, they may find. . ." that The Covenant have made first contact with humanity on the planet Harvest and Miranda Keyes (ship captain and possessor of the Halo Index in Halo 2) is born to Catherine Halsey and Jacob Keys. WHAT?! Keys and Halsey hooked up? Now that I didn't know.

Bye there!

I saw a mother come back with a couple of er kids saying. They couldn't buy halo from gamestop (one kid was trading in for credit and they got it) cause it was rated m. They had to give it back. That's my recent halo story.

Looks like all the main series games through Halo 4 were "M" rated for "blood, violence, and mild language". They seem really tame to me. I'm kind of surprised they're "M" rated. Halo 5 is "T" rated though.

Yeah i was relieved to see a parent a) know the system b) enforce it instead of getting mortal kombat for their five year old ( which I've also seen), while at the same time on the side of the kid arguing it wasnt really that bad.

The blood thing always seems to do it. Have a little blood and it's instantly "M" rated. Unless it's purple or chartreuse.

Halo 2 is my favorite. When you get to that board where you're the alien, and you're landing, I think that's the pinnacle of the series. Love that game.

I think it's funny. My friend Mark is always unhappy when he's not Master Chief. I thought it was neat to be the Arbiter. There's that moment you first control him and the light sword appears in your hand. Frickin' cool!

I never played Halo 2's campaign. I only ever played the multiplayer. I really want to play it though...

I bought all the Halo games up to 360, except for the Halo Wars game in hopes I would eventually get around to playing them. I will...eventually. Since I'm behind on blogs I'm assuming by this point you've already finished the Halo series playthrough. If so congrats!

Not quite. I'm in the middle of Halo 4 and there's likely to be a long break since I have Bulletstorm and Persona 5 to check out in the next few weeks.
