did you say you downloaded the new King's Quest recently or was that someone else? I'm curious about that game. Loved playing those when I was a kid on the PC.
Minecraft, A King's Tale: FFXV, and Battlefield 3

I played some Minecraft today with Mark. The online was seriously laggy after a while, so I stopped. I literally got a message that I had been killed by a Creeper but I was still alive, I just couldn't interact with anything. I thought I had just been disconnected but somehow I left my body and it got blown up. It was a weird moment. Like I was in a dream where I didn't know that I had died. It kind of feels like my real life at the moment. That was the last straw though, so I left the game.
Then I was in the mood for something retro and RPG, so I started A King's Tale: FFXV thinking it would be a turn-based RPG. It was a 2D brawler like Golden Axe. I went with it and found it to be really fun. There's combos, magic spells, and you can call in other characters as a special move. You fight various FF monsters and there is a neat story. A father is telling his son the story of the game as you play it to help him get to sleep. Once you finish the game, you can replay levels labeled Dreams. It's like your playing the dreams of the son. Neat way to weave the story into the gameplay.
I finished it in a few hours and played a few Dream levels. They have special conditions and there are more monsters than you originally fought on those levels. It's a fun brawler. Much more playable than any of the old school ones like Golden Axe.
Then I just sort of randomly chose Battlefield 3 to play. What an amazing looking game. So realistic. I fought through some levels, snuck around, sniped and shot rocket launchers. Then I got in a fighter jet and shot down enemy planes and blew up an airport. What a cool segement even if I wasn't doing the flying. I got a real sense of how fast those guys get slingshot off the deck of a carrier. And man! Better bring your barf bag, those planes turn upside down and sideways all the time. A VR experience of this would be amazing.
And that was it. I watched some trailers of movies from 1976, my theme year for October. It was the first year I saw movies in the theater as a kid. I saw King Kong and Midway with my dad. Rocky! was the top movie of the year.
