Forza Horizon sounds cool. I love damn racing games.

Started the day by downloading the Games with Gold games. I got Gone Home: Console Edition, but I couldn't get Rayman 3 HD because it still said 9.99 when I looked up the price. It should say "free" on that screen. I tried it again at the end of the day, but it was still wrong. I'll see if that's been fixed later in the week.
Then, I was going to warm up with something other than Forza Horizon 2, but I clicked it anyway and was immersed in it all day. It's weird how the game doesn't seem to have a "quit", or "go back to the title screen" option. It's like it doesn't want you to leave. It's ok though, I think the game saves almost constantly, so quitting from the XBO dashboard doesn't result in lost progress.
Forza Horizon 2 is pretty incredible. The world is giant and there are hundreds of events. I nearly drove on every road in the game, though. I'm down to about 27 of 315. I like exploring in this game and making sure I've gone over every road. It also helps when I'm hunting down signs I have to destroy. If you pass a sign closely, even if you didn't see it, it'll show up on the map so you can go get it later. There were many times I did a race event that resulted in revealing sign locations even though I had no notion of passing them during the race. I like that. It means it won't be impossible to get them all, unlike those orbs from Crackdown years ago.
I'm at level 43 and have about 7 championship race events to win to beat the main game. Each championship is 4 races in a specific city. As you finish one, you go on a road trip with a bunch of drivatars to the next city and unlock another set of races. As I'm exploring the world, I'm engaging in impromptu races with drivatars that pass me by with my friend's (and randos) names on them. I think the drivatar's AI is based on the real person's driving style, but I haven't really noticed any major difference in them, other than that some are in much faster cars, some try and bump you, and some use lots of shortcuts through fields. Then, of course, you can stop at places on the map where you can join real people in multiplayer races on the same map (or a kind of alternate universe version of the map). There's no seperate menu for that or anything, just join in and start racing. It's cool.
My favorite thing about the game right now is that I can stay in the same car throughout the whole game. I've stuck to American Muscle cars of the 60s and 70s so far. They aren't as crazy fast as some, and they handle badly, but I like their look. I changed their paint jobs and decals to look like an Original Xbox. I'm kind of excited about backwards compatiblity coming to XBO later this Fall.
So that's a day. I've got an interview this week, more school work, and a job fair to go to, but I may do some gaming late in the week. The weekend will be different for me this week. My roommate and I are spending some time together for once. Should be fun. Oh, and I have Culdcept Revolt to pick up on Tuesday. I want to play that, if I have time.
