Toy Time: Fire SuperChargers

You might think SuperChargers refers to that old Hot Wheels toy building that had rollers inside to propel the vehicles faster along that orange track. Or maybe you thought of Matchbox's super charger monster trucks series. Well this is Skylanders SuperChargers and they're all about the vehicles. I wonder that no one got sued over the name, now I think of it.

This is a pretty terrible picture but that's Hammer Slam Bowser and his Clown Cruiser, Hot Streak and Spitfire, Burn-Cycle and Lava Lance Eruptor.

Hammer Slam Bowser was only usable on Nintendo systems, and since I never had a Wii-U (yet), I haven't played with it in game.

Lava Lance Eruptor was Mark's favorite character when we played SuperChargers. There's a section of the game where you get made huge and can destroy towns like in a monster movie. Lava Lance Eruptor can use his lance as a pogo stick. It was hilarious watching Mark's character bounce around destroying everything in sight.

Hammer Slam Bowser looks tough but... there ain't nothing Mario can't do! ha ha.

There was a monster game for PS2 or Xbox where you were a giant lizard or robot, or other characters, and you could destroy the city. That game was fun!

They only did Bowser and Donkey Kong for Skylanders. Mario would've been cool.

I played that. Wasn't it War of the Monsters or something like that?

Someone needs to do another monster movie game where you just squash cities and fight each other.

With his armor and hammer, my brother Jeff called the Bowser Skylander "Cosplay Bowser."

So in the game, Bowser uses his hammer and breathes fire as you'd expect. He also can send out Koopa Troopas and Dry Bones out to hone in on and attack enemies.

Do you have the Donkey Kong Skylander, too?

I'd love to cosplay as Bowser. I'm going to Retro Con out here in the Philly suburbs on Saturday.

Yea, I have the DK Skylander. He's in the Life element.
