Second Playthrough of Fable 2

The other day I finally retired my mostly evil Fable II character. I didn't set out to be evil but I ended up with horns and strange blue scar marks all over my massive female frame. I boosted her height, strength and slimness to the max making her like a female Spartan from Halo. I got the last few achievements I could get with that character. I got all the expressions, skills and dog tricks for the completionist achievement. Mark jumped in to get it too (Most of the achievements can be had by watching someone else do it in co-op). So after that, I felt it was time to start over.

I created a new character with a whole new aim to be the goodest, familiest, most right doing do gooder I could be. That is, after I got the achievement for sacrificing 10 people to the Temple of Shadows. Luckily, doing that didn't give me any of those weird blue scars, just a slightly crafty expression. But from then on out, I was doing good. I wore monk's robes (boost to good), ate nothing but vegetables, some fruit, and the goodest food in the game - tofu. I spent time with the wife and child to make them as happy as they could be (It was kind of touching how they reacted when I came home after a long quest). I rescued every slave. I signed the kids autographs in Bowerstone Market. I donated to the Temple of Light. I'm interested to see how the populous will react when I come back from defeating Lucien. The crouds may go absolutely crazy for me.

I weild a giant hammer made out of a gemstone I got from a Demon Door treasure chest. I'm trying to get into the melee fighting system. I use flourishes quite a lot now and they are fun. You toss guys head over heels and deal a crushing blow when they are down. But I leveled up to the next ability, Battle Rush (or something like that) where you chain together timed hits that increase your speed the more you do. I can't get a handle on it and it's one of the last achievements I need. I may have to watch a gameplay video because I'm not seeing the prompts that are supposed to tell you when to hit. I'll get it though.

I'll have to do one more playthrough for the last of three story related achievements and I'm already planning to go super evil and see how the world reacts to me. I may disgust myself though and have to reform.

Tomorrow is my other day off this week, so I'll be back at it again. I've got the friend orbs set to anyone, so maybe I'll see someone who can trade me a chicken suit.

I like games where you have to choose a path between good and evil based on your decisions. The one game where I actually tried this with two characters is the game on PS3 where you have electric powers and you're running around what I think is Chicago.

I think you're selling me on playing the Fable series.

I think that was inFamous or Prototype. I get those games mixed up, they're so similar.

I'm really noticing in Fable how the things you do circle back to you. Like when you fight a Banshee, she lists all the bad things you did earlier in the game to piss you off. What she says is different depending on what you did. Villagers also will comment on things you did. Like in my first playthrough they kept saying, "weren't you a man once?". I changed from male to female when I got a potion that let me do it. Why not? It's a game. They never let me forget it though.

i hate in games when you're evil, you start looking evil. In real life, people can be beautiful as hell and still evil.

Ha! Yea. Everybody knows your evil in Fable. But somehow they don't mind all that much. They'll run from you but with a little dance or whistle, they'll come right back. Albion is very forgiving.
