Both Mark and I are still chasing achievements in the Bedrock edition of Minecraft on Xbox One. I got the Map Room one, among others, and spent a lot of time on the On a Rail one. 

The Map Room was really tedious on the previous version of the game since you only had one size map and it was large. Exploring 9 maps worth of world, these being level 3 maps zoomed pretty far out, took a seriously long time. But in this version of the game the maps start out small at level 1 and you can explore 9 of them pretty quickly. I was thankful for that. 

On a Rail tasks you with traveling by rail for 500 meters. 1 meter equals 1 block. It doesn't sound that far but it is. And it takes quite a bit of iron and gold to construct it. Then you have to repair it as the inevitable creeper blows up sections of it while your making it. The real trouble was finding gold which is a little more rare than iron. There were several very frustrating moments like when I was nearly done and got blown up by a creeper. It also blew up several power rail pieces that require gold to make. Again, I had to enter the caves to find more gold. I finally got it done though and Mark followed me to get the achivement as well. 

There were many other smaller achievements got along the way. The one we were working on last was throwing a poison potion back at a witch. We didn't quite get that done before the day was out because we threw the wrong type of potion at her at first. What a pain. Minecraft never gives you the details of any task. You always have to dicipher it yourself.  

I'm not sure if I'm going all the way with this. There are some achievements coming up that require quite a bit of preparation and careful exploring and battling. I'm not sure I have the extreme patience needed for it. We'll see, though.
