I tried to beat some of Rangergirl's scores in Pinball FX3, built the portal for Lego Dimensions and played it, and finished the campaign in Gears of War 4.
Pinball FX3 on PS4. I forget exactly which score but I surprised myself by topping one of Rangergirl's scores on the Thor table (or was it Ghost Rider?). I know it wont last long though. I increased my own high scores in all other challenges for that table but am still far behind her scores. I can regularly beat Loki now and am working on The Destroyer and Yrmir. I'll check tomorrow to see if she's topped me again and try and beat my own scores.
Then i built the portal for Lego Dimensions and the Midway Arcade level pack. What a lot of tiny pieces! I got it all done though and played the first level in the main game and several areas of the Midway level pack. This seems like it will be a very good Lego game. I think I might hit the 5 Below tomorrow and see if I can get the Doctor Who level pack for something cheap. I also need some characters that have abilities to open certain areas of the game. Reminds me of Skylanders.
Then I finished up the campaign in Gears of War 4. The gameplay gets pretty fun in the last few chapters but the story is predictable. The hardest part was the last Horde style defensive battle. Those things that can suck you into their belly are a real pain. They're fast and take a lot of damage. And, if you don't get released by your teammates from the thing's belly in time (when you inevitably get eaten) you have to repeat the level. Tomorrow I may check out multiplayer and hoard modes and look at the achievement list. I'm not sure, without a friend to play with, if I'm going to stick with it much longer. It's a rental and I'd like to move on, I think.
Speaking of PInball FX3, a new table for that came out today: Jurassic World PInball. And I'll be reviewing it!
There are so many good packs for LEGO Dimensions. I'm lucky I got to review most of them! I loved the Portal, Simpsons, Midway, and Sonic packs.
I'm going to be keeping my eye out for any and all packs for LD now. Interested in reading your review.
Now I kinda want to see what pinball scores I can beat.
There's nothing like competition to push you to getting better skills.
Just like in Yakuza 0, where you have to get a higher score than the employees on Outrun and Space Harrier so you can unlock Super Hang On and Fantasy Zone.
Oh darn. I have to unlock it. Well, that could be good or it could be impossible. We'll see.
Well, OutRun and Space Harrier are there without unlocking.
I'll play them. Yes I will.
confusing Thor with Ghost Rider is seriously damaging your nerd cred. 
It was a matter of remembering which high score I topped. There are like five diferent challenges per table, each recording a high score. But. . . um . . . Thor's the guy with the motorcycle, right?
Get a flying character like Superman or the Wicked Witch. Bonus for Superman because I think he also has the laser vision. The good thing about the game since the updates is that some portions you can "rent" a figure for a minute to do some tasks, but I don't think this is available everywhere.
I like that some games show you friend's scores and it gives you incentive to top it. That's the fun stuff I miss in games.
The Midway guy can break gold things. I rented a fixit guy and a x-ray vision guy in the Midway area. Couldn't do that in the main campaign though.
Kiss those high scores goodbye, John, lol. Jason watched me as I systematically destroyed them last night and remarked: "Competitive, much?"
Well, I have a new one for you on the 5 minute challenge. I know it won't last, but there it is.
