Good Grief!

Yesterday taught me that games like to grief you. Notes:

Minecraft: I loaded up a precreated seed. The game has a set of seeds you can choose from instead of just going random with it. I chose the Stronghold Village because it makes things easier. There's a Stronghold below the village and it's nearby the spawn point.

Well, I thought it would be easy. I got all the necessary matterials, went into the Nether, and promptly got too confident and was killed by a Wither Skeleton. I returned right away for my stuff but that Skeleton was waiting for me and killed me again. F it! This game griefs me to no end. You can never be too cautious. So annoying.

Kameo: I freed the last of the creatures that you can turn into. This is the explosive one. It shoots bombs and can roll around in lava. Now I can break up the stone chests and go up against the final badies.

I got right up to the final boss and went a few rounds with him before I had to stop for the night. I got past the first part of the boss's routine but the second one baffles me. He just charges you around the arena. I tried to make him run into a spiky wall, but it doesn't seem to do any damage to him. I'll have to try something else. Soooo want to finish this!

I'm also reorganizing my video game collection. I think I'm going to downsize it and focus on current gen stuff over everything else. I don't have much room for it all and so it's kind of burdensome.

Yeah, all backlogs do is turn gaming into a chore.

I kind of like my list right now though because I play all different stuff. Keeps things interesting. I'm not forcing myself to complete anything either. If I hate it, I'm out and on to the next one. The one thing that sucks with this shortest-to-longest list is that all the RPGs I like are near the end.

Yeah, I think it is a bit more of a problem for completionists like myself.

I use the completionist times just in case I love a game and want to do everything. That's a bit of a rarity for me, but I like going into a game thinking I'm going to do everything.

Hey Kameo, I remember that being one of the first 360 games. I don't think I ever bought a copy when I was in the "let's collect 360 games" phase.

Ah yes the backlog/collection. I'm kind of doing the slimming down but with the new stuff. Everything I finish I put to the side, and when my younger cousins visit they can look through the pile and anything they want they can take.

Kameo was a 360 launch game. I got it later when I was getting cheap stuff to pick up achievements. I liked it then too but got stuck in it. Finished it this time.

Minecraft is definitely the game that keeps on giving.

I would replace "giving" with "griefing" most of the time, but now it's looking up for me.
