Notes:

Minecraft: I made good progress in finding the Stronghold. I got into a third map and explored a good section of it. I got back to the village and just as night fell an Enderman appeared at my door. I knew he was there because I could hear the sound he makes when he teleports. I ran outside, fought him and got another Ender Pearl. I was out of Blaze to make the Eye of Ender however, so I geared up for a trip to the Nether.

I got in there and defeated a few Blazes, but as is always the case, I ventured a little too far. I killed a Wither Skeleton and thought there were only a few Blazes left, so I went after them. Turns out, another Wither Skeleton was hiding behind them, and I got the deadly double doozy of Wither poison and Blaze fire.

I died and when I respawned in the village, I quickly returned to the Nether hoping to get my stuff back. Well, not one WIther Skeleton was lurking over my stuff but at least five of them. I've never seen so many together like that. I retreated but one Wither Skeleton nearly killed me as I transported back to the Overworld.

I went to do some mining for iron so I could armor up properly. When I finished, I returned to the Nether Portal and was immediately attacked by a Wither Skeleton in the Overworld. Somehow he'd slipped through when he attacked me earlier. I killed him and entered The Nether. I was then set upon by two WIther Skeleons at once. I thought I could handle them. Nope. Dead again. I had to take a break. I was really frustrated. 

Skylanders Imaginators: I got past the Guacamole monster and did a Air side mission with Air Strike. Then I realized my created character was at the current level cap of 20, so I created a new character with the Earth Crystal I had from the Gryphon Observatory adventure pack. I used randomization to create his look and would have posted a picture here if I'd remembered to upload the screen shot I saved on Xbox One to OneDrive. I wish that would just happen automatically. Eveything I save should go to Onedrive. He looked like Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet. He's a Quick Shot character type. I also randomized the look of my Bazooka character. It got really silly looking. 

Age of Booty: Downloaded this from Game Pass. I played this downloadable RTS years ago for it's gameplay and look which reminded me of a pirate version of Warcraft II. It's fun for a while but the AI is super aggressive and makes it not fun. They move very fast and it makes the game too hectic. I wish I could tweak the gameplay because I love the cartoony look of it. 

Ryse: Son of Rome:  Xbox One launch game I got from Game Pass. Or maybe I owned it from a Games with Gold giveaway. I seem to remember getting it for free one month. Anyway, it's a fighting game in Rome whent he barbarians were sacking it. You play a centurion defending the city. You fight hand to hand and then switch to segments where you control a balista and give orders to your archers. It's pretty cool. There are brutal executions you can do with each fight, sometimes two at once, and they are different almost every time. I only played an hour of it so far, but I'm liking it. 

I may try and see this video game exhibit at the Franklin Institute in Philly this weekend. It's going on all summer. Should be interestng.
