Forza Horizon 4 Enters My Top Ten for the Year

Yes, the obsession with Forza has begun and it is now the number 8 most played game for me this year and rising fast. I've just passed level 50 with no real end in sight. I've never seen a map screen more full of races and other points of interest. New ones get added as I complete challenges and as the seasons pass. Then there are the multiplayer events called Forzathons that happen every few hours or so. When it pops up, you head to the location on your map and suddenly, seemlessly, you are in multiplayer surrounded by other players. As a group you go off to complete various challenges within a set amount of time. This game has endless variety, it seems.

Also, I've been buying houses and businesses. You get some wheel spins for houses and some skill boosts (I think I saw that). You get credits for your businesses on a daily basis (I've only got one so far, but I'm assuming others will pop up later).

I've raced in a Halo mission, against a stealth fighter, a hover-craft, a bunch of motocycles, and done stunts for a movie. What more I ask, what more.

The only thing I thought about that I couldn't find was Loch Ness. This map seems to be covering northern Scotland and I seem to remember, when I biked the country as a teenager, that Loch Ness was just west of Edinburgh, a major city full of castles in the game. I want some zany Loch Ness Monster sighting in this game. Ha!

I'm getting plenty of great gameplay though. I don't think a lack of monsters is going to stop me from playing. The only thing that threatens me is fatigue and the overwelming sight of so many events on the map.

I just looked on a map and Loch Ness is much farther north from Edinburgh and not on the Forza Horizon map. I rode my bike past Loch Ness years ago, but didn't see anything. We didn't stay very long though.

I'd love to play these Forza games, but I really don't see myself getting an Xbox anytime soon. Maybe if I eventually get a gaming PC I can try them out. I used to love racing games. I recently re-downloaded Project Cars when I installed my new PS4 hard drive. I should play that soon.

If you play Forza on the PC, it connects with it's Xbox version. I forget what they call that, cross-play or something?

Man the Forza Horizon 4 sounds really good, but I shouldn't be surprised because all the Forza games (the ones I've played) have been solid.

I got into them last year and have now played all of them alot. Forza Horizon 4 is now number 4 on my list of most played this year.
