11 BaD Days Remain

Before I start, Snee is probably in a Bliss Coma right now as his millionth copy of Final Fantasy IX downloads onto his Switch. Super Mario 2 is also available today for Nintendo on-line customers.

But I digress,

Anima

Anima: Arcane Edition is a game I forgot I bought so I thought I'd give it an hour. The Protagonist in this game is a nameless girl and her side kick is a wise cracking book because nothing similar has ever been done before.

The combat for the bit that I played consisted of melee with the Y button and light missiles with the A button mostly on the same silvery enemies who respawn if you stand around for too long. There's also a red witch who you combat briefly before she runs away.

Your first very difficult task is to shoot light missiles at 3 red globes that are supposedly holding up the seal on the gate to the next area.

Damn I don't remember those seals being there in plain site when I first came through.

So I fire my light missiles, kill the orby looking things and progress to my next grey area.

There I meet a much bigger version of the silvery enemies you doesn't go down in a couple of shots like the smaller guys. He's obviously some sort of boss because I'm locked in the area by a red barrier.

Then I died from being too stupid to remember how to dodge. I didn't feel like retrying so that was my hour. (more like 20 minutes)

As flippant as I'm being about this game I may go back to it, but not right now.

Oh and I still do not know my fate with my current contract and Ralph the sales guy will be avoiding my calls for the next while. They have until April to find me a new gig so that's not too bad.

Help! Help! I think the blue humans are trying to eat me.

A large open world in this game?

So far there's been one openish area and a lot of corridors. Too early to tell if it opens any more.

I'm most pumped about Dragon Quest, Fire Emblem, and FFXII on Switch. The way things are going, the Switch is going to be my favorite game system of all time.
