Time to grind, my friend!
I played a little of the first Borderlands co-op with my brother. But both of us were pretty burned out on FPS shooters at the time, and we didn't give it much of a chance. I really don't play that genre anymore.

Borderlands 3. I'm level 19 and stuck on a boss. So I've been doing side missions and finding audio logs to listen to. Along the way, I've been constantly battling, improving my gear and leveling up.
The boss I'm stuck on is level 18. I couldn't beat it when I was level 17, and I couldn't beat it when I was level 18. Now that I'm 19, I'll give it one more shot before asking for help.
I got a good sense of how battles work today. They are very frantic and full of explosive effects. Enemies launch all sorts of projectiles at you. I'm using every part of my combat skills. I'm switching my three weapons constantly, throwing grenades and launching my special skill, which is sending out Raks to fight for me. I also have a Spiderant that is always by my side attacking and grobblng loot. I've even used an occational ground pound attack and a sliding attack. You need everything you can use against regular enemies, mini-bosses and bosses. The fighting shows some influence of recent Halos and Destiny.
It's great but after a while it's exhausting. Just getting back to the boss to fight it again was a chore because enemies respawned all along the route. For this specific boss, I couldn't just teleport to the entrance.
Well, I'm going to finish up the two last side missions next time and make one more go at the boss. If I fail again, I'll ask Mark to join in, and I'll see how co-op works.
