Borderlands 3 Beaten But Not Done

Mark and I beat the main story a few days ago. The game's far from done though. I'm still doing side missions and exploring for collectibles. At some point, I might try True Vault Hunter mode and replay the game, but maybe I'll just pick a different character and check out their moves.

Honestly, right now I can barely take in the story. We crashed through this game, shooting and looting everything in sight. I tried to pay attention, but the villains weren't that interesting to me. There is an interesting reveal about where they came from later in the game, but I don't really care that much; they're just two braty kids with god complexes.

I really like the hyperspace sequence on the Sanctuary ship when you have to fly to an Eridian Challenge object. It's like being on the deck of the Enterprise as it leaves a planet. Here's a still shot:

That's my Spiderant side-kick that helps me, a Beastmaster, in battle on the left there. And that's my buddy Mark up front as Mad Krammer playing as Amara.

Co-op is a bundle of fun, but Mark and I have very different play styles, and it sometimes causes some friction. I love to explore and find secrets, and he loves to fight everything. I love fighting too, but it's second on my list. So sometimes I wander off while he's battling, and sometimes he gets in trouble. I should reign in my exploration a bit, but I can barely help it. I don't want to miss something along the way. These things are too hard to find. I want to get as many of them as I can the first time around..

Yeah, I used to play a lot of games with my brother but we used to butt heads sometimes too, and I just got tired of it.

I've occationally quit out of a co-op game with him and visa versa.

That's my main gripe with co-op. I'm so use to doing things on my own that if I'm playing with someone else there has to be some sort of comprimise or else there is butting heads.

As for Borderlands, it sounds like a great game but it's a game I can wait a bit for and maybe grab during a sale.

The co-op is especially good in this game. You can set it up so that you don't have to fight for loot, and players at different levels of progress can still play together and face the same challenge from enemies. And it's super quick and easy to jump into a friend's game. I sometimes ask Mark to jump in and help me with a boss. He jumps in, we fight the boss, and then he takes off. Each of us get's their XP and loot and take it back to their game. It's great.
