I made it up to Yggdrasil and finished act 1. However what happens next I was not expecting at all.

Maybe I'm getting a bit senile but I don't recall any of what I'm playing through now in the PS4 version.

I don't want to spoil anything but if you've reached act 2 and know what I'm talking about pm me.

As far as I remember they made other changes in Act 1 that weren't in the original but none as big as this.

Suffice it to say that even if you've played the PS4 version the Switch version is worth spending another 100 hours on.

If I played the entire game in 16-bit mode, would it make the game shorter?

I should really get around to finishing this game. My save file deleted itself like 12 hours in and I just never got back to it.

I've heard good things about the switch port though.

The only thing the PS4 version has on the Switch is graphics. The PS4 version is a great game, but the Switch version is magnificent and truly lives up to being the "Definitive Version".

Hey Blake, good to hear from you. I hate losing a save like that. When my son was younger he used to overwrite my saves all the time causing me to give up on games I was enjoying.
