Bloody Harvest

The first dlc for Borderlands 3 dropped on Thursday, and Mark and I played it. I got the Season Pass and now I'm wondering what the dlc release schedule will be.

Bloody Harvest

Bloody Harvest is the Halloween themed free dlc for Borderlands 3 out this week. I was expecting a lot of content for some silly reason, but this is just a single mission with a boss fight. What you have to do is play the game and hunt down haunted enemies. When you kill them a skull pops out and attacks you. There are different color skulls that relate to different enemies. A green skull is for normal enemies, red for badasses and a yellow one for loot; although, red skulls sometimes drop loot too.

So kill enough of these skulls and you can enter a new area that leads to a boss where you can fight him and earn more loot. You can repeat the mission to complete a short list of challenges that award you cosmetic items.

There are no new secrets, collectibles, achievements or story elements. I should have realized from past experience with Borderlands 2 and holiday dlc. But I'm not worried because another short one is on the way and a story DLC too before the year is out.

I should have waited to buy the season pass, but what the heck. I know Mark and I are going to play the heck out of every bit of content.

Hey, it's free I guess.

I just wish I'd looked it up because I would have waited to get the season pass.

now that's good DLC timing for Octoberween! Too bad I won't get to it anytime soon. Perhaps next year.

It's less than what they did for Borderlands 2 at Halloween. There you had a whole haunted town and lots of zombies. This is mainly one boss and the regular enemies are sometimes haunted. Not much new content. It's free though, so I can't expect that much, I guess.

Oh that's cool I didn't know Borderlands did that. That's one of the drawbacks for waiting for a game to drop in price before getting to play it. I do like that some games get into the seasonal spirit and add little things like that even if the rewards are just cosmetic items.

They've even done week to week special events too like giving you more loot from bosses for a week.
