1. I rather expected more zombies and fewer TP hoarders when the apocalypse came.

2. Novel coronavirus and Covid-19 have way too many syllables. I shall henceforth refer to the virus as The Plague.

3. Social distancing is a stupid and inaccurate term. I can sit six inches away from someone and be socially distant. Physical distancing is a far more accurate term. I have noticed that my state has started using physical distancing instead of social distancing in press releases, updates, and emails.

4. We were given the disinfectant with the absolute best name ever to use in the parks. Who wouldn't want to disinfect with a product called Terminator? And yes, I do turn back to the outhouse after I've finished and tell it "I'll be back." in a really bad Arnold Schwarzenegger imitation. Unfortunately, they've decided we should be using a different product, and we will, starting on Monday, be using something with the wimpy and sad name of Spray and Go. I feel somehow let down and betrayed by this.

More blogs to come, as I deal with the insanity of people not doing what they're told.

yeah, I definitely thought the apocalypse would involve more sawed-off shotguns...

I'm more of a "It's not a toomah!" man when it comes to my Arnold quotes. Ha ha.

Can we agree that this may be the most boring apocalypse ever?

You're gonna get a toomah from inhaling all that Terminator. Surprised

My life has changed relatively little with this. I still work every other week (been mostly staying home on off weeks). My lady friend gifted my two rolls of TP, and I was actually in the store early enough that they still had it. I don't understand the hoarding. TP won't protect you from the coronavirus, and people are acting like the virus is an EMP that will knock out the power grid and the water supply.  Our governor has mostly taken the old head in the sand approach to the pandemic despite calls from our Senator (the one that actually won her election rather than the one that got a participation trophy when McCain died) to be more proactive.

Mostly I've been gaming and working on my arcade mini-cabinet. I'm thinking of entering it in the state fair as an arts and crafts project.

You and my both my sisters, Andrew. My sisters both work in hospitals. Yeah, I do worry for them.

I'm OK for TP at the moment. Hopefully, when I need to buy more, it will be there. If not, my mom, who always buys in bulk so she doesn't have to go shopping as often, will help me out. It's bread and flour I can't find. I miss being able to make grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch.

Our governor is trying to balance keeping people safe with keeping them sane and employed. All non-essential businesses are closed, or curbside pick-up only. LL Bean installed locks on their doors for the first time in the history of the store since it went 24 hours, 365 days a year. It's surreal for us Mainers. They closed ten of the southern Maine parks - all the beaches, and other parks that aren't large enough for people to spread out, including Two Lights, where I took you to see the waves when you visited. There are four parks currently open in Maine's largest population area, and we were all busy yesterday. We were within 20 parking spaces of filling yesterday during peak hours. I felt the need to disinfect the outhouse every two to three hours that I was there. If that continues to happen, they'll probably shut us down, too.

I'm glad your park's open. Valley Forge Park just got closed and I was hoping to do a lot of walking there these weeks. So, I've been gaming a lot with my friend Mark instead.

See my reply to Andrew. We may not be open much longer. I'm lucky, I have trails behind my house and the dog, who needs exercise.

I hope you still get paid if it closes. I almost wish I got laid off because the unemployment benefits sound really good. My roommate is doing that and she might get more than she was making at her job.

Spray and Go seems more appropriate for the boring apocalypse. Although, sadly, I don't think people suddenly out of work are all that bored by this ...

Yeah, I know.
