Borderlands 3 DLC Completed

Mark and I both finished all the side quests and achievements for the new DLC today, not without some trouble either. I ended up returning to my True Vault Hunter, Mayhem level 2 playthrough to finish everything. At the end of the day I was on Mayhem 4, the max difficulty for now. It was fun overall. I like completing games when I can, which isn't often.

The most trouble we had was with the achievement involving killing all four or the rare spawning creatures. This kind of quest was more of a pain in Borderlands 2 where you just had to return to a spot over and over hoping the rare creature would appear. Here in B3 it's much easier. There are fixed locations for each creature and they spawn reliably at the beginning of any play session. The trick was learning that you couldn't just go kill them. You had to wait until a bounty request appeared in the Lodge. This only happens when a friend kills one of the rare creatures with or without a bounty. Once we learned this by reading posts online, we cooperated to get them all. At least it wasn't as bad as Donkey Mong in B2. It took so darn long to luck out and see that thing. I think it was a year after B2 had come out that I finally got that achievement.

So what next? The beginning of April will see a new classic title on my list, but tomorrow, I am probably going to go after the 500 carrier achievement in EDF 2025. I did a dozen or so today. I'm recording which levels have the light transport vehicle needed and blasting through them on easy. I have about 175 left to go. It's fun to just wreck house in this game.

The last game I finished was Mario Odyssey. Of course, I usually gravitate towards huge games so that doesn't help.

I never go into a game thinking I'll complete it. I go for the story run and see how I feel after that, although, if a game's story is over 90 hours or so, I usually burn out by then. Case in point, I never finished Dragon Quest VIII even though I loved it.

In these times, I really need to get me an online gaming buddy, but I'm not really that into the FPS stuff that tends to get online play. Might be time to buy a Jackbox party pack.

I like the multiplayer games that don't require a whole lot of specific cooperation unless it's with my friend Mark. I'm about to get into Rocket League again and that was cool. Just jump in with whomever and play a match.
