New weekly Game Pass rewards quests today, but I didn't have time to get the games downloaded because they were interfering with Mark and I playing Borderlands 3 co-op. So tomorrow maybe. I also got some Doughlings Arcade and Journey to the Savage Planet going.

Doughlings Arcade:

i finally got past level 25. I got all the way to level 38 before I got stuck again. I unlocked a new character, Bedrock. He makes the ball really big and, I suppose, it does more damage. His special is moving the doughling rows up a level. Levels are beginning to press in on me. they move a little faster from top to bottom and there are more rows in the middle with stone and wood bricks in the way. It can make for some hecktic gameplay when that ball is bouncing back at you quickly and bonus items are raining down at the same time. I have to mentally tell myself to ignore the bonus pickups because they distract me from following the ball. Mark picked up the game today, so we'll both be playing it now.

Journey to the Savage Planet:

I got stuck in an area and then realized I hadn't been doing all the science experiments. Apparently you have to level that up to progress in addition to the usual exploration. So I had to shoot a lot of creatures, jump from very high and catch myself with my jump assist jetpack, and take samples from a selection of live creatures. As a result, I unlocked the Triple Boost Jump which, hopefully, will get me past that cliff I was stuck at.

Borderlands 3:

I played through the Torgue puzzle levels in Borderlands Science and used the points for a loot drop quality boost. It lasts only an hour, but it restarts every session until you get a different one. Mark joined my game and we went about doing side missions, since that's all I have left.

I finally gave up with my current loadout, hung all the stuff I'd been using for months on my wall in my room, and started collecting Torgue weapons and gear. I'm just going with what is fun and Torgue weapons give the biggest boom for the proverbial buck. I, as usual when I change things up, started to struggle a bit. I lowered the difficulty to Mayhem 2 and it was better but not perfect. In a crazy firefight I get knocked down pretty quickly. I like the Nova shields because they explode when they get depleted, but the one I have now is not as robust as my previous one. I don't care though, I want to see how much firey ruin I can cause. I ended the session a bit frustrated with this game. I spent the last few minutes talking to NPCs on Sanctuary to hear all their funny lines.

Oh, that's a day.

Are you gonna get the new Xbox when it comes out?

Well, I just started thinking about upgrading to the Xbox One X. I don't have the TV for 4K but I would like higher performance. The new one. . . I think it's the Xbox Series X or something? It's interesting, and if I was well employed I wouldn't think twice about getting it, but right now i'll probably wait. I also want to see what games might come exclusive to it. That's usually what pushes me over the edge in getting a new system. Also, they will likely offer it with monthly payment plans which might get me in the door earlier. I hope to see more of it soon, but isn't E3 cancelled or something?

They'll probably do online presentations. Sony and Nintendo already do that anyway.
