Brin, the Savage Martyr, has swept the taint of chaos from the battle cathedral, but there is one remaining, Lord Festering and his cordon of flesh drones. Brin, with his mighty crypto-tech nanoblade, will prove his might or be martyred for the cause of The Blessed Cleansing. This, attentive acolbytes, is the story of his last glorious day.
Forza Horizon 4: I returned to this game for a MS Rewards quest. I needed three new achievements. I was skeptical I could find that many more because I've played the game so much already, but I found some. The first one was for drifting. I just needed a few more points to get to level 10 in that category, only, I am terrible at drifting. I hunted down an appropriate car in my garage. to make drifting easier. It's not always speed but something else because this car wasn't as fast as the one I had started out with, but it stayed in a controlled slide much longer. I got an extra star on a drift zone, and I got the achievement. Then I finished the Top Gear story. I had left one event without at least one star because it was a skill event, and that's another one I can't stand. Turns out, I didn't have to stay in the obstacle course and could just roam cross country. With all the bouncing around, skill points rack up quickly, and I got it. Finally, I was working on getting three stars in all events of my Delivery Business when another achievement popped I didn't know about. Get three stars in the event where you transport ducks and you get one. I got my rewards points and stopped for now. Replaying this game reminded me how much I love it, so it will stay installed despite its large file size.
Journey to the Savage Planet: I returned to it for a Game Pass Quest, but I was excited to get farther in it. I beat the Floopsnoot Matriarch boss which opened a new area and got me the ability to hold acid bombs which melt amber. I unlocked all the silly commercials in my spaceship. Through these and the messages from my boss, I get a few more details about Earth. Apparently everyone has to stay indoors with air conditioning filters because the Siberian Tundra has melted and released the medieval times bubonic plague. Yikes! That's dangerously close to reality because I just heard about more record temperatures in Siberia the other day. Well, maybe Space X can send me on a mission like the one in this game to look for planets with colonization potential.
Oh yeah, and another thing. Every time you die in this game you are recloned via the teleport system, however, you retain all your past clones' memories. They made a joke that if it took you lifetimes and many deaths to complete the mission you could go crazy with so many memories in your head. It's funny and also strangely similar to something I heard a guru say on TV the other day. "Why do you want to know about past lives," he said. "It's enough trouble to keep one life healthy." ha ha
Warhammer 40K Inquisitor - Martyr: This game is crazy complex in terms of story and equipment but strangely dull in gameplay. I'm sure it's that I haven't learned about all the special moves yet, but I barely understand how to do anything because of the arcane religious language and terminology. Ther are so many pieces of equipment too. I gave up trying to understand anything and just got Mark in my game so we could blast through levels. I may or may not stick with it. Mark's almost level 50 and enjoying it. I'm not so sure, but I'm only level 6.
