I recently get the distinct feeling I'm not all that welcome gaming at my friend's place. Not sure what it is, but the fun is somewhat limited. I may start pulling back from chasing rewards and such, simplifying my gaming and maybe even doing something else. I'm trying to get into this community garden. I've enjoyed making my own food so much, I now want to grow my own food as well. Well, such is life, things change. We'll see what happens. For now, I'm still gaming and mostly enjoying it. Here's what my friend and I did today.
Farm Together
Taking a break from farming and wondering why I feel so alone.
I spent most of the time trying to figure out how to make money with the right crops. I kept running out and struggling to recover. I studied the numbers with various crops and looked over at what my friend was doing. He's got a very large farm going. His huge forests of fruit trees seem to keep him in the black most of the time. My farm is growing though. I've almost got my tree house built so I can finally stop sleeping in my fields (there's no actual sleeping so far but you can build a bed and sleep in it once you have a house).
We both played a few minutes in each other's game to get some achievements and for fun. I harvested one of his forests. It seems you enter as a farm hand, and depending on the host's settings, can help harvest stuff or do whatever the host allows. There are quite a lot of things you can let another player do if you decide to allow it. That seems kind of fun, but, of course, no one shares my interest in collaboration. I think it would be fun to create a common farm among many people like the way Minecraft has Realms. Alas, i will not do this unless I go find a clan or something like that. It seems the days of co-op are just about done. Eh, perhaps I'll just play some RPGs here and there once the cooperative gaming is truely over.
Well, here's to perhaps better times. I'm hoping to meet some folksters at the community garden (if they ever get back to me) and get back into music. I wouldn't mind some folk playing.
