I played several hours of this after a Game Pass weekly rewards quest asked me to. I was glad to because I was curious about it. I found it very enjoyable. I think the controls for shooting and using telekinesis powers are excellent. That alone can sell a game to me. I intend to keep playing it in the weeks to come, so let's take a deeper look.

This game has a story. Whatever. It's likely about changing hearts and minds of people running a corporation. The "great evil" force you fight is likely heartless greed personified. I'm not overly concerned with it, but I do read all the papers, videos, and audios I find. I can't help doing it and getting some sense of a lived-in environment. These games take so long, I can never totally understand what point they're trying to make. I may leave the game for a while, come back, and forget or lose the flow of the story anyway. What I'm more interested in right now is the developer Remedy because of those excellent controls. So let's research that.

Some of the games Remedy Entertainment made that I'm familiar with are Max Payne 1 & 2, Alan Wake and Quantum Break. I've played Max Payne 1, some of Alan Wake, and I watched my friend play Quantum Break all the way to the end. Except for Max Payne, I don't really remember controls being a standout of any of those games, but they certainly are in Control. I really appreciate good aiming and physics in a game. It is why I liked that old PS3 game Haze even though everyone panned it for its heavy-handed, silly story. I guess I'm an action guy and not a story guy at heart. My friend is definitely that and could really skip every story in a game, but I usually like to follow the story. It's just not the first thing I enjoy in games.

So Control seems good right now even though I died repeatedly fighting my first telekinetic villain. This guy does a lot of damage with his "force powers". It's quite annoying. I think I'll mess with the difficulty a bit. haha.

I really enjoyed it but there was a difficulty spike around when you learn something about her brother I think that made me send it back to GameFly. I still want to finish it though.

I'm going to dumb it down and see how far I get.

It is. I'm glad it's on Game Pass. I can get to it whenever I want.
