I imagine if a game like this had a bigger budget, it could be really great.

I really liked this game. Race in two-person chariots and fight them all. It's like Burnout but with Roman chariots.
This game has some good control mechanics that in certain instances can be hard to learn, but for pure brawling, it's great fun. I played the tutorial levels first and learned basic driving skills. Some are quite challenging like leaning during a fast turn. The control scheme works well though. Then there is fighting. You have five different moves plus a taunt. It's somewhat difficult to execute a power attack though because battles are fast-paced and the battling chariots rarely stay together for very long.
I found the tracks interesting. Each one takes place in a different historic location and there are several race routes for each. In career mode, you fight in a location until you win each difficulty level or earn 7000 dinari. You earn money by winning the race and running over bystanders. The game keeps track of all the stats too like how many successful blocks you made and your time for each lap. The tracks all have boost spinners that you can hit to increase speed or damage temporarily. The game also shows you a quick replay whenever you crash and your two-player team goes flying through the air. It's funny and never gets old.
The graphics are pretty good for the time. I like the character models which are all chunky muscular or busty depending on the gender. The taunts you can give during a race are fun to watch and listen to. The teacher in the tutorials makes ridiculous comments on your performance and your characters in tournament mode say goofy things while fighting.
I considered playing enough to unlock the next area and so on but this game is more fun with others. Not that it has multiplayer but my friend and I used to play this in tandem on separate systems and that was fun. We would challenge each other to get as far as possible.
However, even though the game has a nice control scheme and interesting moves you can do, it usually comes down to a button-mashing fest in practice. I mean, I blocked here and there but I could never get my power attack off because you never stay close enough long enough to any chariot to get it going.
Fun game for a while though.
