Cleaned up on Rewards Points

Just by playing Forza 5 today, I cleared several different rewards challenges. Eventually though, I took a break from it to play another game for more rewards points. Sometimes I feel like I'm now stuck in Game Pass hell and can't get to my own games anymore. Hell it may be, but I'm enjoying it. Haha.

Forza Horizon 5: Started this today. It seems nearly the same as Forza Horizon 4 but set in Mexico. I'm sure there are new cars in there but so far I haven't seen any. I'm still wondering why there isn't the Tesla brand. Probably the other car makers put it in their contract that they would bail if an electric car maker got put in the game. Very lame. All the gas car makers are designing electrics now. Even those aren't in the game. It makes the game feel out of touch to me.

So I'm disappointed with that, but the game is still fun. I'm finding Mexico less interesting than I thought I would find it though. Seems to be a lot of desert so far. Sure there's a volcano and rainforest on this map, but so far I've been rolling over dunes and across scrubland mostly. The map does seem bigger though, so I just have to find the interesting areas.

Some tweaks to the game so far that I've noticed (totally bad English there). Anna, the AI assistant, will now advise alternate routes during a race. There is also an assistant that helps you link up with other players by notifying you when you are close to some player-created content or whatever (I'm not entirely sure what it does yet, to be honest). Story modes are, of course, Mexican-themed.

I actually started getting a tiny bit bored of the endless racing events, finding barns, breaking signs, and doing PR stunts. I'm kinda not into competitive races right now. I'd like to just do some simulation driving. Maybe like delivery missions or OTR truck driving. I kinda like exploring, just driving from destination to destination and taking in the scenery. I'm going to see if I can make this game give me that experience, but I kind of doubt it.

All these narrators, DJs, and music stations kind of grate on me too. It's like having a crowd of salespeople in your ear. I switched the sound mode to favor car sounds. I could just turn off all dialog and music, but I don't want to reduce the game that much, yet.

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator: I just had to boot it for the rewards points but I kept playing because it's a strategy game. Very simple too, at first. You view a field from above with an enemy army to one side. You chose your forces and place them on the other side then start it. The two armies attack each other automatically and you just hope you win. It has the feel of a tower defense game - just drop your forces down and see how it all plays out. I like that sort of thing.

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: This is a way of promoting the upcoming Tiny Tina's Wonderlands coming early next year. It's the DLC mission from Borderlands 2 as a standalone with some added content. It's only $10 too. I can't wait to download and play it again. It's a DnD style adventure in the Borderlands universe. It was fun and I can't wait to get all those achievements again. I'll probably buy it tomorrow.

I have been clearing my Xbox internal hard drive of games pretty well lately. I now want to start playing and deciding what to let go of my older games starting with Xbox 360. I have so much stuff, it's about time to clean house.

I watched an episode of Cake Wars yesterday and thought of you because they were decorating Minecraft cakes.

Well, I've sort of stopped playing Minecraft but my friend is still going strong making a lot of buildings in creative mode.
