Got some Happy Meals at McDonalds to get a few Thor Love and Thunder toys just for fun. I had a lot of rewards points for using the McDees app, so why not? I had hoped the figures worked a bit like Skylanders on the Happy Meal web site, but I couldn't get the one I got to work. I think the "game" just plays a song tied to the figure anyway. Then I played some actual Skylanders on 360 and then switched to Series S for the usual routine. I skipped out on the Switch that day not wanting to plug it into my TV, which only has two HDMI jacks. But I have Triangle Strategy and more Mario + Rabbids to play there.

McDee's Thor Toys: I just got Thor, twice. I'm not spending any more of my rewards points on Happy Meals just for the chance to get a diffferent one. There are ten all together. I saw that there is a Happy Meal app with all sorts of kids games on it. It's not for me, but I was surprised at how much content is on the app.

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure:

Here are my two McDonald's Happy Meal Thors, Xbox Series S, and favorite Spyro's Adventure Skylanders. You need at least one from each element to get into every area of the game and have the best chance to defeat enemies. I picked up a library book, The Complete Skylanders, that lists all the Skylanders from the first four games: Spyro's Adventure, Giants, Swap Force and Trap Team. I'd like to see if I have all the main series figures or not. I played Spyro's Adventure a little more, getting a few more chapters done. The game encourages frequent figure swapping which can get a little bit annoying after a while.

Minecraft: Mark and I got the "catalyst" related achievement. I thought this was a thing in the End City and was working towards that when Mark looked up a walthrough and found out it was a living block that alerts the Warden in the Ancient City, which is burried deep down in the Overworld. You just have to sneak past the catalyst so as not to alert the Warden, who is a serious badass. I woke him up just to see and it stomped me like an irritating bug.

Gems of War: Just completed all the campaign tasks for the week but one. Probably do that tomorrow.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed: Played through all of the first set of races in World Tour tryin to win on hard difficulty. I collected some more stars and unlocked that dark Sonic character I forget the name of at the moment. Then I played multiplayer and was surprised to find plenty of online people including my friend Mark. I played through many races online collecting new badges and a few new achievements along the way. There are so many interesting tracks taken from Sega games like Skies of Arcadia of all things. All very well designed and fun to race.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection: What is this "star zone" section of the game. Here you can play solitaire for stars and unlock new themes? There's a Fable theme and a 20th anniversary Xbox theme, if that's what they are. I'm going to play a little here and there and see what unlocks when I get enough stars. Other than that, one day, I cranked through as many of the event challenges as I had time for and got an achievement. Achievements on my phone. Must be the year 2525.

I'm told you can buy the Happy Meal toys without the meals, so you might try looking into that.

When I first got a smart phone, I downloaded a solitaire game (because not everything was free to play back then lol) and I played that so much! Solitaire is underrated.

I'll see if the McDees app lets me do that. I do everything through the app these days.

The Microsoft Solitaire Collection makes solitaire a lot of fun. Too bad there isn't a good console version. I've tried a few and they haven't been nearly as fun as the phone game.

I think the dark Sonic character is Shadow.

Yes! I just couldn't remember it off the top of my head.

You should look up the Shadow the Hedgehog game. So gloriously mid-2000s edge lord.

Oh cool! It's like Sonic meets Ratchet & Clank. I'll have to hunt down a copy.
