Pictures! Some here:

sparks

I bought Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. Not sure when I'll get to it, but I added Switch games to my rando gameplay list so that I'll get to it sometime. I have a very weird way to play games right now. I'll elucidate that later in the blog. Pics first!

puzzle

I saw this puzzle at a library book sale and had to get it. That cover image is so darn cool! You can see all sorts of stuff in there like the GBA Micro, Sega Game Gear, the top loading NES (which I and my friend used to have and is now worth quite a lot), Atari case for system and games and Super Pong in the box. It's like my ideal photo of gaming stuff. I want to make one just like it for the Xbox/PS2/GameCube generation of consoles and games. I'm going to make this picture my wallpaper on my Xbox dashboard.

SWRacer

Saw this ad for Star Wars Racer Revenge for Playstation 2 in an Ultimate Marvel Team-Up comic that came out around 2001. It was in #12 or 13, both featuring the team up of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. I've never played this game, but I did play the Star Wars Naboo racer game. It wasn't bad so maybe this is okay too? Pod racing was a natural video game adaptation from the movie. I even think Lucas designed the Pod racing in the movie just to market a video game. He'd do something like that.

That's it for pictures. Now to my weird game plan. I play a random set of 10 game types. I have the power of veto however if something comes up I really don't want to play. Here's the list:

1. Main Game (right now Forza Horizon 5)
2. Retro (right now it's God of War on PS2)
3. Toys-to-life project (currently finishing up Skylander's Giants)
4. Lego project (currently on Lego City Undercover)
5. Digital owned on Xbox (currently Super Mega Baseball 2)
6. Game Pass (currently Assassin's Creed Odyssey)
7. Games with Gold (currently Airmech Arena)
8. EA Play (currently NHL 21)
9. Xbox Store Wish list (currently Voodoo Vince Remastered)
10. Free-2-Play (was Fishing World but I'm moving on)

I roll 1-10 and play the game revealed until I need a break and then roll again. I'm including Switch and PS4/5 games in place of Toys to life and Lego when I'm done with those categories. I love jumping around from game to game. I use Xbox's "Surprise Me" button on numbers 5-8 to generate a game.

Some quick thoughts on what I've played. Forza Horizon 5's Hot Wheels tracks are fantastic! They loop and twist and boost you in every which way making it feel more like a roller coaster game. God of War is so darn good. I love the feel of those chain blades. Lego City Undercover is the best Lego game I've played so far. Controls are perfect, the world is large and fun to explore, the story is funny and the references to TV shows is fun to spot. I'm really enjoying it. I'm playing the Discovery Mode in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, exploring the history and locations of ancient Greece. The map screen is my favorite part so far. Such great detail! NHL 21 is a fantastic hockey game that I'm learning so I can play head-to-head against my friend who is getting it on Xbox One soon. He was playing NHL 20 exhaustively but that is not available digitally on Xbox right now for some weird reason. Otherwise I'd challenge him in that. I played a few hours of Fishing World but lost my fishing rod by unequiping it. I couldn't figure out how to get it back so I stopped playing.

And that's a time. More time to come.

I'm skipping out on Sparks of Hope.  I played the first Mario + Rabbids game and didn't like it much.

I wish I had that jigsaw puzzle.  My dad loves jigsaw puzzles and I like to get him ones with pictures that would make him think of me.

What kind of game is Fishing World?  Is it realistic or cartoony?

I got kind of stuck on the first one, as I usually do with strategy games, but I still liked it.

I may actually get into puzzles now that I found one with such a cool image.

Fishing World is very realistic.
