Diablo II Resurrected So Far

My friend and I started playing this a month or so ago and haven't stopped since. Let's see the evolution of my Necromancer over time as I acquired new gear.

necro1

Early on at level 20, using primarily a wand and shrunken head. I don't really attack anything with these. They just give me boosts to my abilities, which are primarily to raise a skeleton army.

necro2

Level 24. I switched to a morning star in case I was caught in the action, but I tried to avoid melee fighting at all costs, letting my skeletons, and now also mage skeletons, do the work for me.

necro3

Level 36. I felt kind of useless behind the lines herding skeletons, so I picked up a crossbow and started helping my buddy, who's a two sword weilding Barbarian.

necro4

Level 40. I switched to a bow, repecified my skills and started putting golems into the field: first an earth golem, then an iron golem made from armor or weapons, and finally a fire golem. Later, through a multiplayer map where people give away stuff, I picked up a great bow that does explosive damage. It was a good thing, but my bone spear missile spell worked better in a tough situation. It uses a lot of mana though, so I saved it for emergencies.

At level 50 I respecified my skills again when my friend and I beat Normal difficulty and started a Nightmare run, which we also beat. It seems two skill reboots are the limit for any one character because I wanted to do it again. My new focus became raising enemies killed on the field instead of skeltons or golems. I got up to 17 at once, and it made for a fine army. I also used a curse spell on my enemies to debuff them and the bone spear spells when things got tough. I needed a mana autoloader and a wagon train of supplies to use the bone spear for long though.

Level 62. We started Hell difficulty and struggled a bit. I roamed the multiplayer maps where people are giving away unwanted gear and got some upgrades. We also went on a speed run of Normal and Nightmare difficulty for fun and XP. We beat the bosses of Normal in like 20 minutes. It was fun but we didn't get much XP for it. Nightmare, however, was building our XP quite nicely. I think I can make level 99 without too much trouble, but Hell difficulty is no joke. It really makes you use your skills and equipment better and come up with new tactics. The battles too are crazy large and chaotic. Really fun, but sometimes frustrating as you can get killed in not so fair ways at times.

That's the only issue I have. You have to watch your health at all times because it can drop really fast if you get surrounded or hit by the right spell or poison. The game barely vibrates the controller when you are very low on health, and by then it's too late. But, you can recover you body and supplies by rebooting the game. You just lose some coin.

We're still playing this trying to beat Hell difficulty. More to come.
