One of the Time Crisis home games has two other extra arcade gun games in it: Shoot Away and Quick & Crash. I forget which one has them, though.

All the stuff I played last week to end the month.
GBA
Turok Evolution - Plays like a Contra game, a 2D run-and-gun shooter. It's ok but killed me pretty early on. I'm trading it.
Lord of the Rings: Two Towers - Isometric action RPG like Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance. It seemed pretty aimless and random. I hacked around until I got surrounded by Uruk-hai and killed. Trade.
Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever - A FPS on your GBA? Just why. It plays pretty good though. This is based on a movie I've never seen - like a Bond film but with a male and female lead. I don't really want a handheld FPS. The controls are just clumsy enough to make me want to move on. Trade.
Metroid Fusion - This looks so great! I love the story and opening cut scenes. I even like the gameplay which, as a 2D platfom/shooter, usually doesn't click with me. Keeper.
Mech Platoon - There was a time I was looking for RTS games on any platform to somehow relive Warcraft II. Now, not so much. It's just too complex a genre for a handheld. I mean, it's done as well as can be here, but it just doesn't feel right. It's always a bit awkward to control everything with just a handful of buttons. Trade.
PS2
Suikoden III - A nice turn-based RPG continuing the series. You can even transfer your PS1 Suikoden II save to this game. I, however, was mostly underwelmed and didn't really get into it as much as I thought I would. I played until I got a party wipe. Granted, it was because I insisted on using auto-battle throughout, but the game really didn't grab me enough to do more. I am keen to play the first two games though. Trade.
Spider-Man 2 - I got farther than I did last time I played this. Bruce Cambell voices the tutorial which is fun. I thought it was pretty cool for a while but didn't like the hand-to-hand fighting that much. Trade.
Lord of the Rings: Two Towers - Thing is, I absolutely love the way they show clips from the movie and then seemlessly transition to the playable game graphics. The fighting though, is not great. Trade.
Spyro Enter The Dragon - I played some more of this, getting a little farther. I think it's mostly a pretty good action game. Some of the side challenges drive me up the wall though. Keeper.
Castlevania Lament of Innocence - I got this earlier this year for it's hack-n-slash battling, for which, it's not bad, but the platforming elements are exceedingly frustrating. Using your whip to leap up to ledges should be a lot easier. I want to like it more but this problem just kills me. Trade.
XSS
Hogwarts Legacy - Both Mad Krammer and I are playing this obsessively. I'm at 68 hours and 75% complete. It's an amazing game from story to voice work to graphics to gameplay, all are top notch. Here are a few captures of me goofin' around in battles.
There's just a ton of things to do in this game. Collectibles sure, but not meaningless ones. They're mostly tied to quests with their own stories attached. I do all the side missions before any main missions and none of them are meaningless or boring. One of them in fact seemed pretty simple at first but turned into a long puzzle challenge with two boss fights. Wow! This game just gives and gives. I'm amazed at the amount of content. It's almost exhausting me.
Mad Krammer has beaten the main story line already as I watched. I'm doing so many side quests, I'm not there yet. So it was partly a spoiler for me, but whatever.
I'm glad to have read that a sequel is already in the works.
Purchases
Ticket to Ride (board game) - I finally found a copy at a Goodwill very cheap.
Time Crisis 4 (PS3) - Apparently Time Crisis Razing Storm includes TC4 with PS Move controls. This version needs the Guncon 3 periferal, which I will be looking for.
PS Move Steering Controler - This works with just a handful of games. I'm still looking for the gun controllers.
Playstation Move Heroes (PS3) - This takes characters from a variety of Playstation games. Missions use the move controls.
Red Dead Redemption (XSS) - I got a free upgrade of my 360 copy to the remastered version. What's with all the promotion of this recently? I think it just became playable on Netflix too.
And that ends my month of November. I've already set up my PS3 and charged up my DS for December. I'll catch up with all I played this week in the next blog.
