Mac Walters, who did writing for Bioware all the way back to Jade Empire and was lead writer on Mass Effect 3, has done excellent work on many of the comics. Foundation continues this excellence.

At least four characters from the game appear in this comic, which, I think, is a first. I love seeing so many game characters. It serves my inner geek for the series. Wrex, however, is the star of this particular issue even though he isn't the main character. His penchant for wreckless abandon and brute force is shown off to great effect.

Foundation reads like a good spy novel with lots of intrigue and twists in the plot. I love the way it tricks you and gives you the unexpected. The art is clean sci-fi but the lighting is often dark and full of shadows. Film Noir in space as I like to think of it.

This comic is so good, I forget it's from a game. Many game-to-comic translations are mediocre at best but this beats the expectations and makes me demand more of other attempts.

I still need to play these games...Don't want to read any comics without some of the background first.

I started following the comics before I even played Mass Effect 1. I only just completed it earlier this year. Most of the comics are completely different stories from the games with different characters. They are all really good reads and you don't need to know anything about the stories from the games and they don't spoil anything either.

I listened to that episode.

Yea, all about Ultima 4 (that reminds me, I have to add all the Ultima games to my list of games to play. I only played a little big of Ultima III on NES). They mentioned how Ultima would be difficult to modernize but I thought the early games in the series could be quickened in pace and put out on 3DS and be a competitor to Etrian Odyssey. Alos, it's good to hear Scott Sharkey's (of 1UP) voice again. That snarky devil always cracks me up.

A lot of people wait for the trades to read these stories, but I like picking up the single issues. I couldn't wait that long anyway.

The trades are cool, but there's nothing like the single comics.

I'll have to get this. Got the omnibus which had a bunch of different ones earlier this year and they were all great. My favorite I think was Garrus' part in Homeworlds, I loved how showing his thoughts those few seconds before you show up makes that mission so much better.

I still need to play ME 2 and 3 to understand that.

It's been fun so far and better than I expected.
