So I couldn't resist and bought it today on GOG to get the DRM free version.

First, I like playing in on the larger screen with my 360 controller. It seems to work fine. I played through to the first mission where you rescue the two kids from the tower.

I'm not sure why they make a big deal about the HD aspect of this remake. Blown up like they are it just makes it easy to see the blurry character models. The backgrounds are still kind of nice to look at but the character models had me rubbing my eyes.

Also when I initially started the game it stopped twice and returned me to my windows desktop. No error, it just shut itself down. After rebooting and making sure nothing else was running that problem went away.

What didn't go away were the momentary lockups. It would stop for what seemed like a minute with the music playing in the background and then start again. It did that 3 or 4 times in the time I played.

Definitely not my laptop. Core i7 with 8 GB RAM and a 1 GB graphic card exceeds the minimum requirements by a whole bunch.

Anyway I ended up enjoying the bit I played so far but the little glitches were a bit annoying.

Oh and it also will not start until you run the config tool. It does not come up automatically like you think it would.

that sucks it has its glitches.  Is this the same company that has done the YS releases?  I thought it was.

I like this game a bunch though.  I wish I had finished it.

Yeah, Nihon Falcom. Their games aren't going to stress anyone's PC out by any stretch, but they're pretty good.

I'm interested in this game. Would love to play it on my PSP. PC makes me worried, but I may go there.

sounds like I should stick to the PSP version when I get around to this game. Still sounds fun though.

I do like playing it on a 15 inch screen with a 360 controller though.
