my wife decided we had to try 2 of the 4 flavours in the contest so we did.

Cinnamon Bun and Tzatziki.

Yeah that's right I said Cinnamon Bun and I like you I expected severe grossness to ensue.

Usually with these types of "new" flavours you wind up with something that tastes vaguely like the intended flavour at best.

Well, for good or for ill, they nailed the taste on both of them. The Cinnamon Bun one didn't even make me want to hurl but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it again. My wife and son actually like it. I did like the Tzatziki though. you can taste the yogurt, the cucumber and the garlic in balance.

Next up, the other two contestants when we get around to it.

We also had a contest like that over Colombia about two or three years ago and the contesting flavors being BBQ ribs, burger (which tasted more like pikles imo) and carbonara pasta. Burger was my favorite, but ribs ended up as the winner.

Yep, those are the usual kinds of flavours that wind up in the mix and usually I'm disappointed with the taste. This time it seems they did a pretty good job even though I would rather have savoury chips than sweet ones.

What's tzatziki? Never had it before, I might try it just out of curiosity.

tzatziki is a greek saice made from exact;y the ingredients Mothman listed in the blog.  It's quite delicious and refreshing.  Tastes great on falafel and on gyros!!

I love gyros, I'll have to make sure to get some tzatziki on one next time. There's a gyro shack a short drive from where I live, might be a trip there in the near future.

I want to try the Lays contest flavors in the US, but I can't find them in stores anywhere.  And I even have close relative that work at Frito!  The mac & cheese one sounds awesome.  I bet it wins.

We'll be trying that and the bacon poutine next.

I can understand the Tzatziki flavored chips, but cinnamon bun? That's what cinnamon buns are made for, to eat them. Flavoured on chips... why I oughtta.

That's what I thought too. The US got Capucinno chips  which according to a friend are really gross. Strangely the CB ones are not gross I won't try them again though. My son finished the bag last night

I'm never in the mood for a cinnabon (cinnamon bun, whatever). Always seems like a bit much, even for me. Never had tzatzki, but there's a Greek place near me, so may have to try that. As for the chips, I'm good with just getting the real thing. I mean I liked cinnamon buns as a kid, so who knows?

Now that Cary mentions mac n' cheese, I'm not sure I've tried Cici's mac n cheese pizza if they still have it.

I would buy the Tzatziki flavored chips. That sounds really good. I haven't tried the new flavors here but I did try the chicken and waffles one from the first series and it tastes just like Top Ramen.

Cinnamon Bun-flavored chips? I'd at least give 'em a shot.

Did they ever make the canadian bacon flavor chips yet?

Haven't seen them. They'd basically taste like ham though.
