Took a quick trip to the mall at Plymouth Meeting to take the photo below at my local retro store, Jay St. Video Games. The traffic was horrendous and I got in and out of there as fast as I could.

While there, I looked for the NES version of Sid Meier's Pirates! and Legend of Zelda, which I used to own. They didn't have Pirates but put me on a list to alert me when they get it. They also said that, even if it came into one of their New York stores, they would ship it down to the store near me. Cool! They had Zelda, but only complete in box. I didn't want to spend that much, and they didn't have a loose cart, so I got on the list for that too. It's like $30 as a loose cart though. I'm not sure about getting it since it's available on Virtual Console for probably half that. I was kind of hoping for a cheaper version so I could play it on my NES in true old school style. Maybe I'll look up both on Amazon.

While I was in the mall, I brought my 3DS and captured the full 10 street passes for Mii Plaza. I read this guide about street pass at kotaku and later brought all ten Mii's into the Plaza but didn't play with them, because I didn't have time. By doing that I freed up the system to capture another ten Miis, or so I thought from the article. Seems that I must've had to use them in the games and then return them before the system could collect more. That's not what the article said though. Oh well, ten at a time is fine. This is actually the first time I've gotten all ten at once. With ten Mii's you can make serious progress in the various games quickly.

And about the games. That kotaku article alerted me to the fact that if you play Find Mii a second time, it'll unlock Find Mii 2, which is much better. How was I supposed to know that? Sneaky Nintendo.

I really like Flower Town. It's making me want to switch jobs and go work at a Nursery. I'm seriously thinking about it. I used to do grounds maintenace a long time ago. It was my first job as a kid and it was my first job as an adult. I think I'd make less money though, but I'm going to look into it. Who said games don't do anything for you.

Is that Virtual Boy in the window also for sale?

And yeah, $30 is a bit much for a loose cartridge of a common game.

An Imperial Chrismas. I'd watch that special.

I had the cartridge back when I was going to flea markets. Don't know where it ended up.

That looks and sounds like a cool store. You're lucky to have a local spot like that. Yeah having 10 Mii's puts in some serious work in the Mii games. I really should start carrying my 3DS XL again so I can finish off that shooter game I bought a while ago and take it off Mount Backlog.

That shooter game is a pain in my butt, but it's way easier with more Miis since each Mii you have becomes a gun on your ship. I usually save my coins for that game since it's so important to have more Miis. Thing is, even though I walk around during the day a lot, I usually only have about ten coins every day. I think you must get a coin for every ten steps or something like that.
