Graveyard Train - The Sermon

This is a bit of a change for me, I know. Bilby got me into these guys. They're essentially the Rob Zombie of blues/country. They write songs about werewolves and vampires and shit, and they're kind of awesome!

Oh, and they have fucking badass video clips.

Childish Gambino - Sober

Speaking of awesome video clips... This video is just freaking hilarious. Also, this is the closest we'll get to Troy for some time...

Amorphis - A Servant

Whoo! Finally some fucking metal! Catchy, uplifting, and awesome. And them clean chorus's!

Ulver - Porn Pieces or the Scar of Cold Kisses

The best example of a metal band leaving metal far behind and remaining awesome. From Black Metal to atmospheric electronica, and well, now they play chamber music. Throughout their career they have remained awesome.

Soen - The Words

Finally, I'll leave you with my favourite track of 2014. It's beautiful, it's touching, and it's the softest track on Soen's album, but it's so hauntingly beautiful that I give no fucks.

Love the Graveyard Train song and video, and I saw the Childish Gambino song on Rap Critic's Best of 2014.

The Childish Gambino song itself isn't amazing and Sweatshirt is a much better track, but I just adore the filmclip.

And yeah, glad Graveyard Train is getting some love.

Little MJ finger moon walkin' there in Sober. Other MJ dance moves too. He's like a bird. He does his dance for the girl. She doesn't take him seriously. He goes back to his perch.

I'm glad! Their first album sounds a lot like Tool haha, but this one sounds a bit more unique.

All great choices, but my stand-outs were definitely The Sermon, A Servant and The Words. The first is just so damn fun and has the right elements that interest me, Amorphis song is indeed very catchy and all around well done and Soen's song was beautiful. Of course, I did like how Sober developed (and I love Childish Gambino either way) and the song of Ulver is the one of the kinds of Electronic I listen.
