Willkommen flatlanders! Some days of the week I wear a collared shirt, but it annoys me to tuck it in. So I don’t, but I imagine people are thinking I am a slob. So I thought I’d compromise and go Nathan Drake on it and do the half-tuck. But, I’m not sure how that works. So let’s take look at that.

According to one source, you should tuck in just one flap and it should be the side with the holes, not the buttons. I guess you don’t tuck all the way around, just the flap.

This punk doesn't know about tucking the holes side. FAIL! Not cool.

On huffintongpost.com there’s an article about six ways to tuck. I like the back-tuck even better than the half-tuck, but I get no gamer cred for that. The half-tuck apparently works to highlight pants buttons or a belt like Nathan Drake’s belt buckle.

Maybe that’s where I can hang the dice pouch. DOUBLE GAMER CRED!!! You can go no-tuck as long as the shirt isn’t too long. My collared shirts are kinda long, so that’s not an option; plus, no gamer cred.

Giant Bomb gives a short list of games, additional to Uncharted, that feature the half-tuck. Max Payne 3 is on the list, but I think Max Payne is a no-tuck guy. I couldn’t find a half-tuck image.

                                                                No-tuck Max

I don’t really see it in Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days either.

                                     If that's a half-tuck, it's very, very slight.

Tim Shaffer wrote a funny blog about the half-tuck, calling it the new mullet. The wiki page says he coined the term "half-tuck", but I really don't think so. The fashion has probably been around a lot longer than the Uncharted games.

So, I think I can rock the half-tuck with all this new knowledge and get me some gamer cred as well.

Happy algorithms!

Never really noticed the half-tuck in games. Huh.

I can't wait to see it in Uncharted 4. Which side will he tuck and what kind of belt will he be wearing. Is the power of bideo games now able to have it become untucked? I want to see some crazy shirt physics in this next game. Yeah!

I like to call front tucking and not tucking in the back the duck tuck.

I'm on board with that.

The guy at the top does have the holes side tucked in.

Yeah, what a goofus. Doesn't he get it? You get it. I get it. Why can't he get it. It's fashion, not rocket science.Tongue Out

I mean, you got to highlight the pants and the belt buckle, ya know?

I'm a firm believer that the buckle makes the man.Tongue Out

I tried to find some images of Max Payne with a half tuck, but I just couldn't get over how different he looked in the third game. WTF happened to him?!?!

Yea, you're right. He like aged up a bit, bot bald, and grew a beard.

Huh, like Joe, I never noticed that. Hopefully SJWs won't start demonizing it like they've sadly done to fedoras and trillbys.

I must've heard refernces to the half-tuck a dozen times on podcasts talking about the Uncharted series. It's just a funny thing: Nathan Drake trying to be all stylish while he guns down hoards of badies and thieves gold from ancient treasure hoards.

this makes me wonder whatever happened with the "mutant" fashion that was taking shape back in the early 90's.

It was clothing design that looked like something out of a Liefield comic, complete with shoulder pads and patches. The one Xmen looking leather jacket I thought looked cool....

90's fashion is just not my scene. Not sure what my scene is really. I've started thinking about clothes lately though. Not a thing I usually think about.
