I'm going insane, and I'm laughin' in the frozen rain....

Well the first part is certainly right.

I did a bit of gaming over the weekend which started out as me cleaning my PS3 hard drive of games I'm not going to play. In the process I decided to play a couple of games that I hadn't really started yet

First up Remember Me which sadly became Forget This after about half an hour, It started off interestingly enough but just as you're getting started they throw some overly powerful enemy at you who is assisted by four minions. They tell you to make sure to take out the minions before attempting to take down the big guy. The problem with that is that the big guy follows one minion around the floor and the others hang off the walls and don't participate. As you are you are trying to take out the one minion the big guy keeps attacking you. So you're busy hitting triangle, square, triangle, square, square over and over again with no results and once the big guy connects three time you die and have to do it all over again. Keep in mind that this was on wussie difficulty so that I could play through the story.

Stupid me I kept trying and dying until I shut it off for fear of destroying another controller

So there's several gigs cleaned off from that one.

Next I tried The Unfinished Swan which I ended up playing 3/4 of before stopping. It's quite good except that it would appear that the autosave only saves story book pages you've found and balloons you've hit. My wife wanted to go out to the store so I saw the "Saving" message at the top of the screen and shut it down. I went back in and had to play the whole Chapter over again. I will finish this one though. I rather like it.

I also played some Persona Q. Got fed up trying to solve a puzzle so I muscled my way through by killing the FOE who was in my way. Esteban gave me his solution and I swear I tried that and nothing happened. Anyway the point is now moot and I've opened the door to the end of Stop 3.

With my fancy new library card I got the first volume of The Strain novel and have read about 25% of it. I've got the second Odd Thomas novel coming up next.

This is great. There's really no point in collecting digital books unless you are going to read them multiple times and even if you are you can always check out a book again.

Anyway that's it for today's progress report. See you tomorrow Pixlbitallion.

Kinda looks like Boddingtons to me. Stella doesn't hold a head like that and it's not quite the right colour. .

Forget This, huh?  Ha ha.

Hope u had a good weekend.  I never purchased Unfinished Swan, actually.  It would have gone great in my Unfinished Pile.

I watched the French Connection last night.  Been a while.  You're old enough to remember that movie I bet.  It's fucked up.

Damn I was going to make an Unfinished joke and I forgot. LOL. Yes I remember the French Connection but not really that much about it. Oh yeah Popeye Doyle I think I remember that name from it.

I usually only buy books that I know I'll read over and over. How are those Odd Thomas books? I am a fan of Dean Koontz, but never got to those for some reason.

Well worth a read. I was looking around to see if I could find it for a couple of bucks but now I don't have to pay. :)

I'm glad you're giving The Unfinished Swan another go. It's a good game and an easy one to knock out of the backlog.

The library is really great. I'm trying to do more reading this year but I have tons of books already that I want to read, like the first couple Odd Thomas books. Last week I bought a Deus Ex novel. Looking forward to getting into that.

Yep, Unfinished Swan was a pleasant surprise. I was under the mistaken impression that the whole game was shooting black paint at a white canvas so when the second chapter started and I was shooting water to activate mechanisms and grow vines it was really cool. I spent a lot of time seeing where I could make the vines go to. :)

The last "book" I've read, if you can call it one was the Ultra Street Fighter 4 Strategy Guide to get a better grasp on the mechanics of the game. I did however, recently buy Batman: The Killing Joke at con I went to a week ago.

I can't read Killing Joke without....

My brother read all three books in The Strain series, and that's pretty much a recommendation from him since if he's not interested in something he'll drop it without as much as a second thought. Only exception to that's been Moby Dick, but even then he gave up on the second attempt.

At least you made it to the end of that floor, that's what counts!

I actually went back and made the puzzle work as you mentioned this time. No idea how I screwed it up the first time but oh well. The ends justifies the means. :)
