I gave up on BaD, which you probably all noticed. Just didn't have the oomph this year. Anyway...

Weather: I'm sick of shoveling. Luckily, we've had a couple of days in a row where it didn't snow, and a couple where the temp got into the 20s and low 30s. Felt like a heat wave.

Watching: Watched Starship Troopers again for the third or fourth time, it's just as cheesy as I remembered. Started watching the remake of Hawaii Five-0 on Netflix. I stopped watching when they switched it to Friday, but the first four seasons are now streaming. Also watched the first episode of a Korean series called Gu Family Book. I'll have to watch a few more episodes to decide what I think.

Playing: Still having fun with Tales of Xillia 2. I have all but eight of the Crazy Cat Lady's cats. Working on getting all the character chapters and exploring everywhere. I'm guessing I'm maybe 2/3 of the way through the main story. Also got in some co-op LBP with Tex and Kevin tonight. That's a blog in and of itself.

Reading: The Iliad, it arrived from Amazon on Monday. I'm two books (chapters) in and enjoying it immensely. Also reading Wolf Moon by Charles de Lint.

Listening: Out Along the Headlands - Meridian. Amazing harmonies by a couple of twenty-somethings, both of whom I know. Blue Sky Mining -Midnight Oil, mostly because of the song Antarctica, the first line of which is "I'm a snow plow".

I have my last snowshoe race on Sunday. I'm not ready for it, it's on the mountain side of the park it's held at, and the course map shows us climbing the mountain three times. The term mountain is used loosely here, as the summit of Bradbury Mountain is only 484 feet above sea level. All I have to do is finish... I have a plan - hike the ups, run the downs, and do the best I can in between. One race between me and official Badassdom.

Have a great night/day, Pixlbit Nation!

Sounds like you're busy.

Yeah...not really. Although, I did snowshoe out to the back of the field and attempt (unsuccessfully) to find the compost pile. That took a frustrating chunk of time. And reminds me that I left the snow shovel out in the field...Must go get it before the next storm. If it doesn't snow tomorrow, it will be the first three-day stretch of clear weather we've had since January 21-23.

Some of the folks who did Mystery Science Theater 3000 (my all time favorite TV show) now do something similar called Rifftrax.  They made fun of Starship Troopers on Rifftrax.  I remember in college seeing the original movie in theaters and how awful it was!

Not only is it awful, it's two hours and seven minutes of awful! But in a good way.

20s and 30s is a heat wave over there? Man, I'd hate to see what it's like during the dead of winter lol. Good luck on that last race Tami! I had read your other blog about it, but honestly couldn't think of anything to say.

Aaron, what's really scary was looking at the thermometer last night, thinking "oh, hey! it's not too bad tonight" because it was double digits and not a negative number. A few seconds later, I had a WTF?! moment when I realized I was thinking 12 degrees was "not too bad". Cue hysterical laughter. It's been the coldest, snowiest February on record and we're all winter-weary.

Absolutely. It's why I've watched it more than once :)

I'd love to hear more about LBP. I've always been intrigued by that game. I'd love to make some levels in it sometime.

If I had to pick the one original game I've had the most fun with for the PS3, it would have to be LBP. Floaty controls aside, it's silly, quirky, colorful, and fun. It's the kind of game that is fun by yourself, but even more so with friends. I've never gotten into making my own levels, but other people I know have, and some of them are pretty impressive.
